When relativity is applied to human culture without a spiritual ground, it collapses into a flat, formless relativism—best illustrated today by gender fluidity and post-modern identity—where everything dissolves into subjective preference and the objective "lawfulness of the world" vanishes entirely. A vital correction to this drift is therefore needed. namely the Christ event does not dissolve law into mere opinion; rather, it redeems law by transforming static structure into living, dynamic equilibrium. Here is a look at how the concept of weighing (balancing) unlocks the true meaning of the Trinitarian principle: 1. The Pre-Christian Ground: Absolute Law and the Iron Rule The Father's Law (Old Saturn / Creation): Morality prior to Christ was not an arbitrary invention, but the objective structural lawfulness of the cosmos. Just as breaking physical laws causes the physical body to decay, breaking moral laws inflicted literal damage on human constitution. The Binary Necessity: Because humanity had not yet developed individualized, conscious thinking, it required the absolute external scaffolding of the 10 Commandments or the Lex Talionis ("an eye for an eye"). There could be no "range" or "fluidity" because an infant consciousness cannot navigate a spectrum; it can only process the rigid dualism of Good vs. Evil, Obedience vs. Transgression. 2. The Drift of Modern "Relativity" Without Christ When modern secular culture attempts to escape this binary, it drops the lawfulness of the Ground-of-the-World altogether. The Living Middle: With Christ, the law is no longer outside the human being as a rigid external command, nor is it absent; it is internalized into a living center. The Christ impulse introduces the capacity to stand in freedom between two polar extremes (such as excess and deficiency, or the two opposing forces of deformation and petrification) and actively weigh them in every unique, individual situation. Fluidity Anchored in Law: This is why it is a dynamic equilibrium. A tightrope walker is neither crashing to the ground (evil/destruction) nor standing rigidly frozen on a platform; they are constantly, fluidly adjusting their balance. That balance is true freedom, but it only exists because the law of gravity (the Ground-of-the-World) remains absolute. Seeing this clearly exposes why humanity is still trapped in the old binary psyche while simultaneously showing that the way out is not flat relativism, but the conscious awakening to the Christ-imbued Trinitarian reality.
