Hire Top Performers.
Give them a Compelling Vision.
Be a Yardstick of Quality.
Set Short Deadlines.
_______________________
Don’t over complicate it.
Run this playbook (even if you have to fake it at first) and your results will astound you.
I’ll make you a bet—
Change nothing on the first two.
Keep your team. Keep your vision.
Only adjust 3 and 4–
Be a yardstick for quality—on the next thing that you review—send it back.
Tell your team it’s not good enough. Tell them you want to see a better version tomorrow. Give them no additional information.
The version tomorrow will be massively better.
Then on the next project, ask them how long it will take to complete…
If they tell you a month tell them they have until next Friday.
If they tell you a week tell them they have until this Friday.
If they tell you Friday, tell them they have until EOD.
If they tell you EOD, tell you you will check back in an hour to review.
I bet you that if you make test those two changes you will see that your team can produce way better quality way faster than you ever imagined.
Better output, faster, is the only difference between you and whatever future you imagine for your company.

Green Flags of a $100M CEO (That Nobody Talks About)
Everyone knows the red flags
But after scaling AppSumo from $3M to $80M+ (and driving $500M+ in growth for my clients), I learned to spot the green ones
The ones that predict success before it happens:
1. They're lazier than their team
Not lazy like sitting on a beach
Lazy like refusing to do $50/hour work when they could be doing $5000/hour thinking
The best CEOs I know are allergic to busy work
2. They talk about their failures more than their wins
Ask them about success? They'll give you 2 minutes
Ask them about failures? Pull up a chair
They've internalized every lesson
Because pain is the best teacher
3. They have hobbies that look like torture
BJJ. Ultra marathons. Cold plunges
They seek voluntary suffering
Why? Because they know involuntary suffering is coming
And they want to be ready
4. They hire people who scare them
Most CEOs hire down
$100M CEOs hire up
If they're not slightly intimidated by their exec team, they're building a kingdom of mediocrity
5. Their calendar is mostly empty
While everyone else is in back-to-back meetings
They're thinking 3 quarters ahead
A full calendar means you're still a founder
An empty one means you're finally a CEO
6. They're obsessed with retention, not growth
They know the math:
5% improvement in retention = 25-95% increase in profits
Keeping a customer costs 5x less than getting a new one
Unsexy? Yes
Profitable? Always
7. They say "I don't know" without flinching
Insecure CEOs have all the answers
$100M CEOs have all the questions
They're not trying to be the smartest person in the room
They're trying to build the smartest room
The pattern?
$100M CEOs do the opposite of what feels natural
Because what got you to $1M will kill you at $10M
And what got you to $10M will bury you at $100M
The ones who make it?
They're the ones willing to burn their old playbook
Every. Single. Time.

Until you find your identity in Christ, you will always have an identity in crisis.
I wanted to share something we've been studying from Ephesians that you may find applicable in your life.
There are FIVE roots of an identity in crisis ...
1. Performance -- I am what I do.
Your job is your top priority. Be careful there. The yearning to measure up is dangerous when God sees you as a perfect creation. No other opinion should be held in that high regard.
2. Achievement -- I am what I accomplish.
If you believe the most important thing about you is what you do and how well you do it, you're only going to find value in that. You think of value in terms of a awards, accolades, a paycheck ... God sees so much more.
3. Materialism -- I am what I have.
We tend to believe the bigger house, the nicer car, the better clothes, the nicer gains are everything ... We are not what we possess.
4. Relationships -- I am who I'm with.
Rooting your identity in who you're connected with can make a false God in your life. Feeling the need to always have someone is desperation, especially when Christ is always there and will never let you down.
5. Sexuality -- I am who I'm attracted to.
The message in today's world is to 'be true to yourself.' That means being stuck in sin. To be a disciple of Jesus, He asks that you deny yourself, not 'be true'. It's a pitfall we've unfortunately taken as truth.

You think she's "venting" or "rambling."
What's actually happening:
She's trusting you with her inner world.
Every half-hearted response teaches her
to keep that world locked away.
Listen like she's sharing treasure.
Because she is.

Do you feel that?
Well rested
Clear headed
Ready for Monday to start
That’s how every weekend should feel
But CEOs don’t know how to take a real weekend off
They “rest” with Slack on
Email buzzing
Still worrying about the biz
Your best ideas will find you once you slow down

Chaos exposes amateurs.
The power is staying calm when everything’s on fire.
Your kid’s sick. A deal’s collapsing. Payroll’s due. Your phone is blowing up.
And somehow, you still have to think clearly. Make decisions. Lead.
Composure is a weapon. Most never figure that out.

Building a Christ-centered home WILL take intentionality.
Building a Christ-centered home CAN happen in the chaos.
Building a Christ-centered home MUST start with YOUR relationship with God.
Everything flows from that.

For the most part I may be one of the few remaining verified Creators the replied to almost everyone who interacts with me on this website.
I’ve been here for about 15 years, back since nearly the beginning.
I was verified 10 years ago due to writing for creative industry publications.
What I have seen is that this is STILL the best networking app in the world for building connections, and getting opportunities.
This account brings me opportunities every single year that pay the equivalent of the median income in America…
That’s the incentive, not the few coppers from X monetization.
