Truth be told - you have to completely disown your identity, should actually be almost ashamed of talking about your roots, change the name etc to be an Indian American prominent politician on GOP side (Bobby Jindal, Dinesh D, Nikkey Haley). Otherwise you will be hated on both sides - can never be loyal enough for the right and left will accuse you of too much pandering!!
They were able to do it because they were in a different party , no?
Vivek Ramaswamy’s defeat is a classic lesson in politics and in life: the moment you abandon your strengths to please everyone, you risk becoming nobody’s choice.
Look at the contrast. Zohran Mamdani last year and Abdul El-Sayed this time embraced their identities and stood firmly by their cultural roots. Vivek, on the other hand, appeared to dilute his own identity, attempting to appeal to different constituencies while pandering to white MAGA supremacism.
Despite spending $36 million of his own money, his political strategy failed.
Life rewards conviction, not constant appeasement. Those who try to please everyone ultimately end up belonging to no one.
Rats are out :-)
Chris Christie UNLOADS on Vivek Ramswamy losing the Ohio governor’s race...
“You not only have to question the judgement of a man who would take a woman — an elderly woman, out of the car she was living in out of the parking lot in a church in Pennsylvania with her cats and put her in front of a video camera, and make that a TV add in the gubernatorial race. We know what Vivek Ramswamy is, and voters have judged him as such. But here is the real problem going forward. J.D. Vance stood 100 percent with Vivek Ramaswamy. Not only as a person and a candidate, but he stood behind that advertisement. And Vivek Ramaswamy will be forgotten. He is going to be sent to the dustbin of history. But J.D. Vance is going to be remembered, I think, for this campaign, for more than anything else, David, that he stood by that ad, a man who wrote a book on Catholicism, stood behind that ad. It’s a disgrace.”
Naive to think Vivek Ramaswamy lost merely because of one ad targeting the opponent. Saying the quiet part loud - he is a Hindu, an Indian and doesn’t disown his roots !!. Unfortunately he isn’t going into fit into the GOP mainstream leadership group and MAGA continues to attack him for his colour and background.
I don’t think ad tilted it, in such a long election cycle one issue can’t have such a big impact - it’s just that he is still not seen as one of their own amongst MAGA inspite of Vivek going out of the way to “prove” his loyalty. Just look at the no of people who hurl racist insults on everything he says !!
This is how far you should go to be relevant in GOP, not only you disown your identity but also become more loyal than the King :-)
Point is it’s not the H1B tweet which cost him nor did the recent ad. He tried his best to pander to the MAGA GOP base but they just needed a reason to hate him for his background, religion and some of them even told him on the face.
Very scary prospect and don’t put anything past him
As an Indian it’s discomforting to see Netanyahu get too close to Indian PM because it’s more dangerous to be a close friend of someone like him than to be an adversary, he will try to pull you down using all kinds of dirty tricks - all along pretending to be your friend. Look at what he has done to Trump in the last two years !!

The GOP wipeout is absolutely the fault of Mark Levin and the Trump/Netanyahu Iran War. He knows it's his fault which is why he's crying that it isn't.
You said it !!, they pulled him into an unnecessary war and destroyed his presidency and in fact threw MAGA into a complete disarray!!. What a great friendly ally !!
