The film follows a married couple who travel to a small town to adopt a baby but nothing is quite as it seems.

love her being like 'i haven't changed, you've all just come to your senses' which is true. Popstar isn't radically different from any of her other work, which is all pretty fucking exceptional.

“I’ve never even sniffed the top 10 of a [major] Billboard chart. So that isn’t something that I even like to know, let alone be concerned with. I was surprised by the reaction, honestly. People are like, ‘Why are you surprised?!’ And I’m like, ‘Why wouldn’t I be surprised?’ The album doesn’t feel particularly different from a creative standpoint. I think the reception is the difference, which is exciting to say the least.”
