I’ll share a small part of pickle.com Back in med school, I became obsessed with augmenting memory and dreamed of a Notion or Obsidian that completes itself. Today, we’ve built something close. My self-awareness is sharper and everything feels connected. I genuinely believe AI does not replace humans. It amplifies us. Huge respect to our engineers and designers who made this crazy thing real. Bubbles are the episodic units of my life that the system interprets from my raw data. Clouds are the system’s questions, its hypotheses about who I am. When I answer a cloud, it becomes a bubble again. There is so much personal data that I cannot fully demo it. Wish I could. This system understands me more deeply than anyone. Want to try it? Retweet and comment “memory.” I’ll DM you an access code to skip the waitlist.

I just spent the weekend in Utah & it’s not even close: Utah is the ENTREPRENEURSHIP CAPITAL OF AMERICA! Crumbl. Qualtrics. Traeger. Jet Blue. - 30th in population. Top 5 in unicorns - 2X the national biz formation rate - Most MLMs per capita 🤣 But don’t just believe me👇

A/B test idea
Best subscription optimization hack I've tested: Make subscription the default option, but show what they LOSE by switching to one-time. Instead of "Save 25% with subscription" Try: "Remove subscription (lose 25% discount, free shipping, priority support, free gift)" Loss aversion is 2x more powerful than potential gains. We increased subscription take rate by 47% with this one change.

Great takes on AI
I asked cracked engineers for their hottest takes on AI. They didn’t disappoint… 1) GPT-7 will not be AGI. AGI is not coming from ever-greater zero-shot reasoning models. 2) In a weird sense, AI is the great equalizer, e.g. you cannot hide. If you’re that talented, you can amass extraordinary leverage. Great engineers are harder to find, but easier to distinguish. 3) Sam is just driving the AGI narrative, which is fine for the broader ecosystem, but will cause downstream disappointment when a zero-shot reasoning model cannot act as a general intelligence agent. 4) Small (localized) LLMs + great data will be good enough for 90% of GDP shift. The world is running on spreadsheets. 5) AI is an amplifier. Just like giving people money amplifies who they truly are, AI shows you how good you really are. 6) The superior your engineering knowledge is, the greater the leverage AI can bring. The difference in leverage between ok engineers, and 10x engineers is not 1.5, or even 5, it’s probably 20x, 100x. 7) There are some still very key problems with AI. Biggest of which is "sleep-time compute" (continual learning outside of context). This probably represents the biggest gap between AI and humans right now. 8) AI is VERY good at memorizing. If all you bring as an engineer is memorized facts there's no reason to hire you. 9) The infinite context window / sleep time compute thing is pretty far away. Memorization / recalling the training data is not. 10) The biggest advantage you have as a human is understanding everything and only having to pay that cost once. Once I understand a codebase I won't have to be reprompted with ALL the context, whereas every time i start a new chat I will need to give the AI all that context. 11) I use AI to replace the "memorizing" parts - specific syntax, etc. I still make the decisions, but I can delegate to AI because i know "whether the thing is possible or not". 12) If you're a dev and you think AI sucks at working in your codebase, you probably have a shitty codebase. 13) AI isn't going to fully replace software engineers because that would require everyone being able to describe exactly what they want in their software (i.e. writing code). This is the age old problem of the requirements never being quite specific enough. 14) Everyone thinks junior devs are fucked but I actually think if they have solid fundamentals and can use AI, they will have a better shot than a senior engineer who learns slower and claims "AI isn't that good". Companies are getting rid of the least efficient engineers, not the least senior ones.

Prediction: Most LLM compute will happen by constellations of satellites flying around the globe beaming LLM responses back to earth.

AB test idea #001
Visitors hesitate to click CTAs when they don’t know what happens next. So we built an animated Process Widget near the CTA, clearly showing each step after they take action. When visitors understand the process, they move forward with confidence. Simple addition, big impact. Clarity = Confidence = Conversions.

I’m going to start reposting UI/UX ideas I think would make great A/B tests.

@windsurf_ai & @Cursor prompt that adds teams functionality to your @laravelphp app: I need users to have access to teams. A user can create a team and invite other users to his team. A user owns multiple teams. And, a user can be invited to multiple teams as well.

Next steps for Windsurf or Cursor: 1. Create the frontend views for team management 2. Implement email notifications for team invitations Next step consideration for you: Branch or fork this milestone in your app as a starting point for future projects.

Best if used at the onset of a new Laravel Starter Project. And, I know there are already brilliant packages for this.

Business idea #2,345 from life experience: Daycare for sick kids. Regular daycare won't take em, you have to go to work. A sick daycare charges 3x for the day but will take sick kids.
