OUT NOW EVERYWHERE
My first single of the year, and it couldn't be more special as it's with my aussie pal from down under @heyitselac .
We are bringing Electro House back !
Sometimes when Iβm self doubting my music, I just go for a walk and play it real loud on my AirPods. The fact that I still get shivers down my whole body is a reminder that I made something awesome.
Woke up and decided I wanted to share new music with everyone, and why not but my favourite edit. 2448 - @deadmau5 (ELAC Edit). Hope yaβll enjoy it π½βοΈβ€οΈ

Articulated my mental state perfectly. The demand for unauthentic social media content to stay relevant is unfortunately tarnishing my love for the craft.
We artists are advised to make videos every day, keep consistent content flowing. Music has become a mere vehicle to make it happen.
I'm not an influencer, in fact, I don't like being the center of attention. I'm actually a pretty quiet person. I like the music to talk on behalf of how I feel. We have entered an era where being a musician and being an influencer have intertwined.
Zooming out...what is the point here? To stay 'relevant' ? To get 'bigger' ? I've hit on this before but being 'bigger' is a losing battle; there is always someone 'ahead' of you no matter what you do. I consciously quit this rat race.
When I feel my mind drift to comparing myself to others, I reset to the big question: what is the point? Ultimately, it's to sustain doing something I love, while making an impact on those who listen. It's these 'why' moments that I try to pivot to gratitude and to remind myself how lucky I am.
Spitting out disposable videos is not it for me. I've chosen to go down this career to have fun. I've made most of my career decisions following my gut, which tends to point to...having fun. Horse with blinders. Ignore the distractions, resist what is going on around you. Follow the gut.
I'm not going to feed these algorithmic machines something that is inauthentic. If my career fades because I'm not conforming, at least I go down with pride doing something that brings me joy while leaving a trail of music that helped some people along the way.
Ultimately, that's the point. Back to the studio to finish my third album.
So Iβve been meaning to open up about this for a while now, I feel that people deserve to know;
I havenβt been doing too well at all, mentally. The past 6 months has been extremely taxing on my motivation to do anything, which is impacting my love for music. It sucks.
Iβll still be making music, still release music, but when I feel like it. I still want nothing more in my life but to continue doing music, but I donβt want to force myself to keep up with the everyone else. I need to move at my own pace.
