Take every advice you hear with a grain of salt (including mine). Why? Because you don't have the full context of why it's working. Because there's no single answer that works for everyone. Figure things out for yourself. Stick with what works best for you. Quit the rest.

I spend 2022 chasing time. I tried to make the most of every minute. Life passed me by. I couldn't do anything. January came. Time stopped flying by. All it took was ... Turning off the autopilot mode. I tasted life. I improved on what matters. I have time and so do you.

This is hard to admit, but this was me not too long ago. I thought I knew myself. But the sad truth is, I didn't have the courage to be self-aware. There's no other way around it. And the more you avoid it, the longer you'll struggle to achieve your goals.
If you're consistently doing your best yet not getting anywhere, it's probably time to question how accurate your definition of "best" is.

"Only work on the things you love." I recently read this, and I'm perplexed. One side of me thinks: "Life isn't a fairytale where you only work on what you love." And the other one thinks: "If you can delegate and focus on what you love, why wouldn't you? What's your take? 🤔

Everyone talks about setting boundaries. Yet few talk about what goes with it. Values. Why do I say this? Because you can discipline yourself as much as you want. You won't stop wondering about what you should do UNTIL you know what's most important to you and WHY.

We're 30 days into the new year. And I've already failed 3 times. And yet, it's still the best decision I made recently because: →I can reflect on my actions as I go →I can adjust my goals as I go →I can set habits based on feedback from experiments
2 weeks ago, I told you I didn't set goals for the year yet. Here we are now, and I still don't have any. Instead, I'm taking my own advice. 3 weeks. One area I want to work on. The outcome dictates the next move. Everything that passes the worst-case test could become a goal.

You either: Keep pushing yourself beyond your limits. Keep doing things your way and fail. You see this? This is why you think you need to fill every minute of your day. Truth is, you don't. Because you need time to think. And you can't think without space in your day.

Sharing this got me thinking. Why was I frustrated about wasting time? Why did I put that pressure on myself? Truth is, I don't need to rush. I need to ask myself if what I do: Is a distraction? Is helping me moving forward? Taking the best decision shouldn't make me feel bad.
Don't you hate it when you feel you're wasting time? I do too, but... What I hate more is letting frustration rule my actions. So I pick my battle. And start over something I finished. Being intentional isn't all about preparation. Sometimes, you need to pause and go backward.

"Productivity is about doing more in less time" I disagree. Yes, you want to dedicate more time to what matters the most. But, you also want to be engaged in what you're doing. You made it through the list. But what's the point if you don't even remember experiencing it?
The biggest myth about productivity: The more you do, the better. I know what you're thinking. "Less to do tomorrow." Now think about this. You have less to do. You finish it. You win. You create momentum. Everything else is a bonus. You see, it doesn't have to be hard.

The life philosophy I want to embrace this year: Less grind, more flow. Less hurry, more pace. Less resistance, more ease. Less judgment, more compassion. Less careless, more thoughtfulness. Less shortcuts, more intentional work.

We live in a noisy age. Everyone is fighting for your attention. Anything you hear, read, and see takes space in your head to the point where: → you don't have any space left → the only idea of thinking exhausts you If this is you, here's how you can fix this:

Give your brain a break. Before you say, you don't need this. Or that you can't afford to stop. Let me ask you: → How often do you let yourself be bored? → When was the last time you allowed yourself to be bored without reaching for your phone? And here's the best part↓

Some of your best ideas come when you don't do anything. Why? Because the more you let your mind wander, the more it goes into unexpected directions, the more creative you are. The bottom line is: → Boredom isn't a waste of time. → Boredom is, just like rest, a necessity

One thing I want to remember from 2022: Life is nothing more than an experiment that never ends. Your goal is to figure things out along the way. Why worry about failure when every day is a new chance to re-run the experiment?

It's too late to backpedal now. You’re standing at the edge. You're so close, but no one pushes you. You start doubting. And now, you're paralyzed. Guess what? Certainty is an illusion. So you either go for it. Or let your fear hold you back from what you want to achieve.

"I did it all on my own." "I didn’t get any help to get up here." But it was hard, right ? You know you could've asked for help, right? So why did you choose to make life harder for yourself? Ok, you're the superhero. But was it worth your tears, sweat, and blood?

For the first time in months, I did not regret takingmore time off than I expected. I hate to disappear without warning. But I can't be helpful if I'm not well, right? Truth is, I don't know when I'll fully recover. I won't let uncertainty put my life on pause. I'll do better.
This is the sign I was waiting to stop feeling bad about myself because I need to take a break to deal with mental overwhelm. See you on Friday, guys 🧡

"You're just not good enough." "Everyone is more productive than you." "You'd better keep doing more if you want to catch up." Toxic productivity wants you to believe this. How do I know? I've been there, and I felt miserable for years. Until I had this one realisation:

And, let's just be real for a second. Productivity is a tool, not an end in itself. I know. You want to check everything off your to-do list. But what's the most important? Perform for the sake of it? Or use your time and energy for what matters the most?

Before you leave, remember this: Be kind to yourself when you fall short. You're worth so much more than your productivity. Be proud of your progress, no matter how small. And please, don't feel bad if you can't do everything you planned. Doing what you can is good enough.
