Our 10th grade IB students spent the day exploring at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. From King Tut’s Tomb to the Planetarium and Giant Screen-plus plenty of dinosaurs and the Matter and Motion exhibit, our students had a wonderful day of hands-on learning! @AmberMcMunn1
Our 11th and 12th grade IB History classes took learning outside the classroom with a visit to the Houston Holocaust Museum. Through artifacts and personal stories, students explored history through evidence, perspective, and human experience. @AmberMcMunn1

FYI
Humble ISD will be CLOSED on Tuesday, September 1, due to the potential impacts of Tropical Depression Five. Meteorologists informed the district that our area could experience heavy rainfall and possible street flooding Tuesday afternoon, beginning at approximately 1 to 3 p.m.
Safety is the highest priority in Humble ISD. Closing prevents student drivers, school buses, parents and staff members from being caught in hazardous road conditions at school dismissal time when the storm could impact our area. Athletic contests (middle school football games, middle school volleyball games, high school volleyball games) are cancelled/postponed on Tuesday due to the weather forecast.
Employees should not report to work on Tuesday unless directed to do so by their supervisor. The district will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout Tuesday. An update will be provided to parents and staff by email and text message and posted on the district website Tuesday evening.
IB kiddos have left the building(until next school year)! Wishing all our students a safe and relaxing summer!!
Really proud of all the thought and enthusiasm that went into these projects. Special shout out to such an innovative way to end year, @AmberMcMunn1 !
As we close out the year, our IB Academy 10th graders did an Unhinged History project about any topic they wanted! They were amazing!! @hhsibdp
Final IB Game night of the school year- loved that so many kids came! Especially our seniors for their last one! Not many pics-a lot of pizza, chips, and cookies were consumed. This is one of my favorite events-they are smart, committed, and they are a community!@AmberMcMunn1

IB biology put in the work getting ready to excel on the STAAR exam. Dedicated students and teachers spent Saturday participating in a Bio Blitz. Lots of hands -on activities to prepare them!
It is busy in IB these days. Our fantastic IB English 1 and 2 teacher was incredibly-creative getting our kids ready for STAAR. He continues to challenge them, even though the test is over- he keeps them focused on their academic goals! Musical chairs- writing version! @MDCory2
