So sorry for my friends, @Eric_Stokes10 & @hhstokes in the Mountain Island Lake area of NW #CLT. Wednesday’s storm did a number on their home, severely damaging the new backyard R&R area, which was still under construction. 😢🙏 @WBTV_News #ncwx #cltwx

Yuriy Karpik received a 20-year prison sentence today in Spartanburg.
He will definitely have to serve at least 17 years of it in prison after being convicted of drunk driving, resulting in the death of Mia Stokes and Grace Revels. More on the situation below:

I was in courtroom Wed. for @theobserver in Spartanburg as a Shakespearean tragedy played out during the sentencing for a convicted drunk driver who killed 2 softball teammates by felony DUI, including identical twin Mia Stokes.

It’s been 3 years since Mia Stokes has been gone. Mia ended her high school career as our Most Valuable Player all while being an even better person off field. She will be forever missed and will forever be an Eagle.
Please don’t drink and drive.

I hope my Mia Girl has a seat right beside Jesus as “He watches his daughters” play on the biggest stage the next few days.
She always loved this team because they unashamedly love Jesus!
Wish you were there with your sis, sweet girl.
