Over 1,400 players have committed to play college baseball through the East Coast Sox.
There are two that surely stick out the most.
Joey Caruso committed to University of Alabama-Huntsville in 2023.
Jacob Caruso commits to Northeast Community College in 2027.
Overwhelming and exciting times for me and @karlicaruso11.
Congrats Jacob.
I’ve been truly blessed to watch Jacob Caruso grow over the years, and this past week in Jupiter, Florida, gave me memories I’ll carry for the rest of my life.
There’s something special about Jupiter. The fields, the competition, the history—and the opportunity to play in Perfect Game’s WWBA World Championships, one of the most prestigious events in amateur baseball. Perfect Game has provided a stage that has meant so much to our program and given so many young men opportunities to chase their dreams.
Names like Bobby Witt Jr., Pete Alonso, and Kade Anderson are part of what makes those fields so memorable.
For years, I’ve gone to Jupiter and come home with stories. This time, my wife was beside me, and our son was on those fields creating the story I’ll treasure most.
This was Jacob’s last event in an East Coast Sox uniform. His last game. The final time a Caruso would take the field as an East Coast Sox player.
That’s a hard sentence to write.
Watching Jacob earn a win on the mound at the World
Championships was something I’ll never forget. He went 3-for-5 at the plate, drew multiple walks, scored runs, and helped us win games and reach the playoffs. To watch him contribute on that stage, knowing these were his final games in this uniform, made every pitch and every at-bat mean a little more.
But what means the most is everything that led to those moments—all the years of watching him grow, work, learn, and become the young man he is today.
Then, we were in Jupiter watching him wear that uniform for the last time and competing at the highest level having his best tournament of his career being a Sox.
God has blessed our family beyond anything I could have imagined. To share this experience with Jacob, with my wife there beside me, is a gift I’ll always be grateful for.
Jupiter will always be a place filled with baseball memories. But from now on, when I think of it, I’ll think of my son—and the privilege of being his dad as he played his final game for the East Coast Sox.

PLAY FOR AN AUDIENCE OF ONE
When we put Jesus first in all we do, fear and doubt begin to give way to faith, peace, and assurance.
