After 9 matches, the boys now have 4 wins and one victorious concession. An average points of 20.5 has Holmbury at 4th in division one, with everything still in play as the season enters its business end.
Batting wise, plenty of starts at a good clip meant that 112 was chased down without much hassle. Captain’s knock from Aaron of 25* from 29 to bring it home the pick.
As has become the custom this season, the wickets were shared around with solid bowling performances from all. Oscar (5-1-15-2), Chris (8-2-21-3) and Iggy (2-0-12-3) were the picks of the bowlers, but cracking stuff from everyone in the field.
As predicted, our hosts Cranleigh 3rd CI were no match for the boys yesterday, who chased down a low total of 112 before the drinks break.
Tough loss for the boys today. Horsley and Send have put together a very strong squad! Great game nevertheless. Looking forward to the next one!
East Horsley grab the win with a six off the last ball. Absolutely fantastic game from two teams who will hope to be battling for the big prizes come end of the season.
At the halfway (well, 24 overs) stage, East Horsley are on 128/2. James (who else?!) breaks the century stand between Drake & Tindale to put the game back into the balance. This one looks set to go all the way to the wire! If you’re in the area, get yourself up the hill!
The lads finish on 261/8. Sensational from James with a 92 ball 119, with great support from Aaron, Feakes and the director himself Johnny Robinson. A challenging total for East Horsley to navigate now, after enjoying the best teas that Surrey has to offer!
Holmbury over 100 as the first wicket is lost, bringing captain Aaron Owen to the crease. Fantastic knock from James so far, who’s on 52*. 21 overs to come!

8 weeks ago, we launched our crowd funder appeal to raise money for a new roof on the cricket club pavilion. Our target was £32,000.
Now, with only 2 days to go, we have just about made it thanks to your incredible support.
