napanood ko naman yung buong video, and i wouldnโt be making this comment if i hadnโt. i think the discussion was mainly about concert production and logistics, so i hope we can also look at her statements WITHIN THAT CONTEXT. saying na mas affordable and accessible ang opm concerts doesnโt necessarily mean na opm is bad or na mas mababa ang quality ng production compared to international acts.
i also donโt think she was saying na affordability is the only reason why opm is doing well. she was explaining why pinoy acts tend to sell more in the context of concert production. i agree naman na magagaling ang artists natin, and i donโt think that takes away from her point either. both things can be true. i just donโt think there was any intention to put down or mock opm in what she said.
risky take but as sumn from events and prod view, everything she said made sense. sheโs not putting opm in the lesser perpective, nor as an option but totoo namang sobrang mahal ng prod costs na lahat ay manggagaling overseas hence the prices ++
tech equipment in a local concert is costed rental daily. a big scale concert takes 1+ weeks to set up. same goes with manpower. then multiply it 1.5x or more if everything and everyone is flew in. totoong kahit sold out yung iba, lugi pa rin.
