Rip City Retro Postgame Show!
The Blazers (2-0) struggle with the Kings, but a big 3rd quarter run is just enough to hold off a 4th quarter Sacramento comeback attempt and get the win on the road 128-120. Come give your thoughts!

Sacramento can't stop the Blazers when they attack the rim, but Portland is settling for way too many 3 pointers when they aren't making many.

The Blazers (1-0) look dominant in their season opener, blowing out the Suns 124-83. A bunch of great performances to talk about in this one!

The Blazers have 21 assists at halftime. They had whole seasons where they averaged less than that. Great to see the ball moving around with all these options.
What an awesome 1st quarter! Couldn't have gone any better.
The Blazers are locked in. They're controlling the glass and beating the Suns to loose balls.

A legit lights out shooter about to hit the market. Portland has an open roster spot and desperately needs a shooter like Brea.
Why wouldn't they sign him?
The Phoenix Suns plan to waive two-way guard Koby Brea, league sources told @hoopshype. Brea shot 43.3% from 3-point range in 12 games with the Suns last season. With center Mark Williams injured to start the season, Phoenix will look to add frontcourt depth on the two-way market
Sochan hadn't played a ton of minutes in preseason but I thought he did well enough to make the squad.
With Sharpe out until at least February, it doesn't make sense to keep an open roster spot. Maybe, they're looking to add someone expected to be cut from another team?

The Blazers tried to trade for Darius Garland at that same deadline, tried to trade for Lamelo Ball a few months ago, and DID trade for Ja Morant.
Those aren't actions of a team that believes Scoot is a foundational piece. This is BS from a Klutch mouthpiece.
REPORT: The Blazers received calls from multiple teams before the trade deadline about Scoot Henderson’s availability, per @BrettSiegelNBA
“Each time, the Blazers turned down the opportunity to engage in talks centered on Henderson because they believe he can be a long-term foundational piece.”

In my last episode of Rip City Retro, I discussed being told during the stream that Sharpe had a "physical evaluation" a few days ago.
Now we know why unfortunately.
