We’ve had a solid month of elite preseason opportunities between @Wootten_Camp 150 and @brdrleague B🏀B offers up his 2 (or ten?) cents here ⬇️ Ready for a month of hoop study & refresh before hitting the road again to watch HS games. Until then, lots of 💭📚 & college 🏀.

2️⃣6️⃣-2️⃣7️⃣ Preseason Impact Freshmen Impact can be defined several ways. Some freshmen will have opportunities to contribute immediately because of roster needs, while others are more projectable & will need more time to carve out roles alongside established stars. 📰: espn.com/womens-college-bask… @ESPN_WomenHoop | @SCNext

Rock Hill: @brdrleague - East tips off in less than 30 minutes!!

We took a retrospective look at the @SCNext class of 2024 now that they are preparing for their junior season in college and re-ranked a (current) top 15. Who are some others in that discussion? Let's take a quick look: 📰: premierbasketballreport.com/…

We take a look back at the @SCNext 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ Class and where we had them coming out of high school 🆚 where they stack up now headed into their junior year in college. 📰 via @ESPN_WomenHoop: espn.com/womens-college-bask… 📈 Development continues.

It’s been a big week for @CoachReiss32 & @GatorsWBK as they land their 2nd Top 50 commit. @SCNext No. 29 @bellaowumi24 of @TiltonGVHoops & @MCWStarz is a powerful guard who knows how to get to her spots in the mid-range & has a finishing burst around the rim. She expanded her game by adding some wiggle and catch and shoot ability from the 3. She will be a quality versatile defender at the next level who will contribute on the boards. On Sunday, in-state @IMGBasketball & @FGBvsEveryone prospect @MadiMignery2027 made her commitment to the Gators as well with the caption: “Staying Home!!”. No. 48 Mignery is a physical guard who lives in the mid-range with a complimentary 3-ball to keep close-outs honest.

(2/2) @GamecockWBB National Championship Game Appearance in 2026 They bring in the No. 2 ESPN Recruiting Class and add major transfer in Jordan Lee (Texas) and potential (?) 5th year in Brooke Quarles Daniels (Michigan) Returning forward Joyce Edwards is the headliner + perimeter veteran Tessa Johnson and adding Chloe Kitts and Ashlyn Watkins back bolsters interior depth. South Carolina has a huge roster in terms of overall size – with only one player listed under 6’0 tall. The question going into the season is primary ballhandling – who will do the bulk of that for this team after graduating Raven Johnson? Look for Agot Makeer and freshman Jerzy Robinson to handle at least some of those duties. This team could be a nightmare to try and score against and they could create quite a bit for themselves defensively and on the glass.   @NotreDameWBB Elite 8 Finish in 2026 Superstar Hannah Hidalgo returns as the headliner -- one of the more disruptive guards in college WBB history. They also bring in the No. 5 ESPN recruiting class which included 5 Top 100 players and impact transfer Madison St. Rose (Princeton). Notre Dame should have solid starting back court play, but the major questions going in will be their depth and the fact they will absolutely need production from newcomers. With Hidalgo at the helm, expect high-octane action + let’s see how her leadership can groom the talented underclassmen into high-level competitive form.   @USCWBB Second Round Loss in the NCAA Tournament to South Carolina in 2026 JuJu Watkins returns to the USC lineup – and is considered by many to be the best player in college WBB. Last year’s Freshman of the Year, Jazzy Davidson, as well as Kennedy Smith return with veteran experience. USC brings in the No. 1 overall ESPN recruiting class with 3 impact 5-star players including No 1 Saniyah Hall + some Spanish and Australian flair in Sara Okeke and Sitaya Fagan. In terms of anticipated pure talent, USC may garner the most interest in the field. Three No. 1 players in their respective classes and possibly a future No. 1 WNBA draft pick + their incoming class will be worth the price of admission. The questions will be beyond what’s seen on paper: How will this seemingly versatile and positionless group mesh? And then a common thing amongst many programs: Who will handle the interior duties? This lineup presents a myriad of possibilities, but in this field – it’s the outcomes that will matter.   SEE YOU IN VEGAS!

(1/2) This field is exceptionally strong. All six programs finished the 2025–26 season in the national conversation, and all six programs appear in the top 16 of ESPN's Way-Too-Early top 25. As compared to the timing of last year’s event (Nov), these teams will have had the chance to play several games all will be rounding into conference-play level form in late December. These are MUST SEE matchups on @espn networks – where they belong!! @DukeWBB Elite 8 Finish in 2026 Return 3 Starters / 9 Overall Players + No. 4 ESPN Recruiting Class Major Transfer: Aaliyah Crump (Texas) Going into the Season: Perimeter replacements for Taina Mair and Ashlon Jackson are very key to Duke’s success this year. Emilee Skinner is once again highly anticipated to make a large impact. Duke shot the ball extremely well in ACC play and beyond last year – and we know they will defend. They are a legitimate Final 4 contender after knocking on the door 2 years in a row.   @TexasWBB Final 4 Finish in 2026 Return Superstar Madison Booker + No. 3 ESPN Recruiting Class (5 Top 50 Players) Transfers: Zya Vann (Oklahoma); Jade Bediako (Marquette) | Key Transfers OUT: Aaliyah Crump (Duke) and Jordan Lee (South Carolina) The main question going into the season:Texas’ primary ballhandling duties. Replacing Rori Harmon is no easy task; that plus their depth at the post position. This Texas roster will be very young & moderately inexperienced at important spots – but they are massively talented. They will defend and rebound with the best of them, but with a perimeter heavy lineup, will they shoot the three enough to have the balance to take things to another level?   @UCLAWBB National Champions in 2026 The Bruins lost a lot to graduation/WNBA. However, they got quite the haul in the Transfer Portal including: Addy Brown (Iowa State), Donovan Hunter (TCU), Elina Aarnisalo (North Carolina), Bonnie Deas (Arkansas), KK Bransford (Notre Dame) + 2 international signees. Time will tell what kind of team UCLA will be this season, but they added high IQ players who can play in their spaced/read and react system. Adding Timea Gardiner back into the lineup will be a plus and expect an emergence of Sienna Betts inside. Overall, looking at the roster: perimeter quickness and interior depth are the questions going into the season. They have forwards who can initiate offense, so this could be a fun style for the guards as they settle in over the course of the season.   ⏭️
