Holy moly. @AJPemberton_19 with 29 points including a wild buzzer-beating fallaway to win it. @RivalsNation stuns Compton Calif. Magic.

Josh Roux was massive for Mass Rivals today at the Adidas 3SSB championships.
The Andover HS star scored 16 points, including four huge 3-pointers, as Rivals knocked off Compton Magic, one of the best grassroots teams in the country.
Representing the MIAA on a national stage.
I am absolutely crushed by this news. The greatest advocate for MA High school sports around and a tremendous person. Going to miss my random calls and you are in my prayers 🙏
No better kid than this kid. Extremely coachable, true winner, hard worker, and will only get better in the future. Loves being in the gym. Thanks to Coach Vin from the Mass Rivals for giving him the opportunity to play in his outstanding AAU program. @RivalsNation

Great watch/listen.
AAU plays a big factor too. The student athletes that are staying home are playing very high level AAU, traveling and getting the exposure too.
Everyone has a different journey.

Logan Sullivan is coming off a big freshman year at Andover and continues to show why he’s a name to track moving forward.
The guard brings shooting versatility and proved capable of knocking down tough shots throughout last night. Has good feel as a passer, making solid reads and keeping the offense flowing.

I've covered the Andover High boys basketball team a handful of times this year and by far it's the most unselfish team I've seen in 33 years as a sportswriter. It's truly spectacular watching them in transition.

They meet tonight at Central for the MVC Cup championship.
Rematch from Dec. 19 in the same gym, a 60-57 Andover win.
Should be electric tonight. Can’t wait.

You cannot exaggerate the importance of basketball officiating. Refs determine who will play and how the game will be played. Every ref, at every level, should ask him or her self, “Why am I here?” The answer is to ajudicate the smooth flow of the game.
