Umpire Doug Eddings went on a power trip during the bottom of the 6th in the Cardinals Rockies game.
First, he demanded that pitcher Hancel Rincon (in his MLB debut) straighten his hat since no one will wear a hat like that on "his field".
When manager Oli Marmol went to talk to Eddings about the hat incident during a pitching change, Eddings gave the Cardinals a pitch clock violation and ejected Marmol.
A couple batters later, with the Cardinals out of challenges, Eddings made a terrible call on a play at the plate to gift the Rockies the lead.
This is pretty rich from the guy who signed off on firing Ravech to pay McAfee. What a joke @espn has become. I already stopped watching a couple years ago, but I will certainly never pay one penny for ESPN again as long as I live. Most tone deaf company in sports at this point.
What a moment during the @LittleLeague World Series Championship game. A well-deserved salute to @karlravechespn who has brought so much passion, knowledge and fun to ESPN/ABC's coverage of the #LLWS.
Karl never wants it to be about himself, but he deserves the accolades.

This note in the final book from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library wrecked me last year when my daughter turned 5. Tearing up again reading it now.

This is always how I will remember her.

On one hand I’m stoked.
On the other, he almost damaged a statue of a relative of mine with this swing.
The future is here.
