I’m very normal about To Be Your Light (Reupload bc the text was weird)

I already talked about this in my thread but what GENIUS is it to use red camellias in the To Be Your Light MV when they = devotion/loyalty or (especially in east asian culture) the symbol of "love that cannot be saved, only remembered" 😭😭

Final thoughts/interpretations: I think this was an amazingly/deeply/well thought out music video that really conveyed what TBYL wanted to get across. Jongho gave us a love song that comforts, and I think anyone can listen to it / watch the MV and take away certain things. To me, its a song/story about not giving up. No matter how many hardships you face, regardless of the obstacles that you may encounter. One mistake isnt the end of the world, and you can come out stronger from it. Learning that it's important to have people in your life that can be your light, while also trying to be the light in other people's lives when you can: "I'll run to you, to where my heart reaches. If we walk step by step, we'll be able to find it. You and I, holding pieces of the dawn in our arms, walking an uncertain path. Something we never even dared to imagine" It's a beautiful depiction of nostalgia, youth, and even the bittersweet feelings of growing up and maybe having friends or people in your life that you feel like changed over time, or have grown distant. Even if one day, the sun isnt shining for you: "Even if we wander once more through the silence someday, holding tightly to your hands, which never changed. We'll make it happen, just like we once did. We'll make it happen, we'll make it happen" Bonus: the red camellias are fun because they can either be interpreted as devotion/loyalty - but what I think applies better (especially in east asian culture) is the symbol of the camellia evoking "love that cannot be saved, only remembered" which ties into the nostalgic side of the MV. The love and memories Jongho had with his friends in the MV are in the past, and nothing can ever bring that back to the present. But it doesn't mean that the memories are bad, but something to be looked back on as encouragement. I think this was beautiful, and one again my expectations smacked with a brick-filled pillowcase.
