The Moon has impeccable timing. October's full Moon rises tonight, bringing a little moonlit magic to the start of Halloween week. The Moon reaches peak illumination at 12:12am ET (0412 UTC) on Oct. 26. Don't forget to look up!

Roll out solar arrays will be installed during next week's spacewalk. You can see two of them folded and ready to be installed and you can also see how they look when they are installed (look in front of the big ones - the new ones are smaller and slightly tilted).

Canada arm 2 as seen from cupola. It’s been busy preparing for the upcoming spacewalks. It moved from this location to get the solar arrays from SpaceX Dragon 35 trunk, then placed it on a mobile transporter on station. It even loosened bolts for us before the space walks next week! I’m grateful for the help.

Go @Douglas__Gorman! Nice summary of the Artemis III and IV news earlier today at my editing client @payloadspace.
BREAKING: NASA officials shared a progress update on their efforts to return US astronauts to the Moon, as well as the finer details of the mission plans for Artemis III and IV, targeting flights in 2027 and 2028, respectively. Long story short: NASA remains confident it can meet the timeline for both missions. Payload reporter @Douglas__Gorman has the details of the missions. Link to the full story in the comments.

Katherine Langrish, in her book From Spare Oom to War Drobe: Travels in Narnia, argues that Prince Caspian is built around the classic fairy-tale trope in which people step “into fairy rings or disappear into a fairy kingdom for what seems a few hours or a few days, only to find on their return that a hundred or more years have passed, and no one now remembers them.” That sense of loss haunts the book. The golden chess-knight discovered by Susan in the ruins of the castle is a nod to the Golden Chessmen of the Aesir in Norse myth, which the sons of the gods will find lying in high grass after the destruction of all things at Ragnorak (as told in the Icelandic tale The Deluding of Gylfi). Susan’s horn draws inspiration from one of Lewis’s favorite medieval romances, Huon of Bordeaux, featuring an enchanted horn worn around the neck: “whosoever heard it, if he were a hundred days journey off, should come at the pleasure of him that blew it.” There are also echoes of Hamlet running all through the story: Caspian’s father is deposed by his murderous uncle and, as Langrish notes, Caspian learns the truth and embraces his vocation on the tower roof, like Hamlet on the ramparts of Elsinore. This, by the way, is what makes the Narnia books so enduringly resonant: Lewis was one of the best-read people, maybe the best-read person, of his generation.
This is such a good point. @SketchesbyBoze I feel like Prince Caspian is a pretty standard "dethroned prince recaptures the throne" fantasy genre (this is no knock on it, it's beautifully written), what do you think?
