hip-hop's power structure is beautifully cyclical. every 15 or so years, the culture shifts. young people have a new wave, older people do everything in their power to prevent that change, but lose the very Definition of the genre when doing that.
faz has never tweeted in aave before this conversation, by the way. he very obviously has an idea in his head of what a hip-hop fan is "supposed" to talk like. and is trying to un-lame himself. it's not working. at all.
the amount of people who are “into” or “consume” hip-hop that don’t realize that it’s pioneered by the youth is outrageous. this exact complaint happened at houseparties in the 80s and with autotune in the late 2000s. jay-z’s “Death of Autotune” is a good example,
No one has an authority on hip-hop as a genre, so once you start acting as one, that’s when you become old. Being so outwardly nasty towards something does nothing but incite anger towards whatever you’re saying. You didn’t say anything of note, just “its bad because umm”
what more do you need to hear to keep you entertained? do you need to hear people talk about how one sode of their family clearly detests them, but they can’t dissociate themselves from that family because of their phenotype? or is that too boring for you too?
wasn't you shitting on that adelheid nigga a month ago for doing this same shit to this same girl
