What a world we live in now! Flying into San Francisco on a @JetBlue flight, I took a picture out of the window and asked @ChatGPT @claudeai @grok and @GeminiApp to figure out where I was and my altitude.
Only Astra figured out my exact location, altitude AND airline.
The hype is real.
I so want to love @orca_build . It's clearly the direction the world will move in but the number of bugs and issues it has is ridiculous. For a project with 40k stars on GitHub, I was hoping for more.
For now, I'm going to move over to Nimbalyst and hope they're doing better.
I wonder if Bring-Your-Own-Model /Bring-Your-Own-Agents become a thing in the future. Companies don’t hire you for your raw skills but for your toolbox you’ve built that you can use on the job - tailored to your style of working.
Trying out @antigravity after a hiatus (@claudeai works just fine but I want to hedge for the Inevitable Rugpull).
It's clearly not @antigravity because it's still trash. Starting from the login which doesn't work because they sneak spaces in the URL and the auth breaks.
We need a new surface area between a full-fledged IDE & a fully "agentic" interface. These are now two ends of the spectrum and people should be able to move smoothly between them as they need.
@antigravity seems to have taken an "agentic"-first approach with the option to download the IDE as an add-on. Not sure who they're even targeting now.
I can see the promise of memories in @GeminiApp or @claudeai. But I use them for a wide range of tasks and the current implementations go out of their way to draw connections when there really aren’t any.
GitHub Actions map to Alfred Sloan’s work at GM? Software architecture maps to Bill Gates’ way of thinking?
Biiiiiiig stretches here.
Hey @bcherny , you know what would be cool? If I could hover on the black dot and it told me when Claude sent the message. So I can easily check when a long running process was kicked off.
It's really quite simple - with AI, you shouldn't be doing the same things faster. You should be doing faster things.
Hey @OpenAI want to win over customers easily to Codex?
Step 1: monitor @claudeai 's status page
Step 2: every time @claudeai goes down, remove all quota restrictions and let users explore Codex's capabilities.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: profit because customers discover a capable platform that doesn't keep going down
Such an easy win.
Just me waiting for the day @claudeai fixes up terminology. Why the fuck are there "Connectors" "Extensions" "Plugins" AND "MCP"? I'm here to vibe, not learn ™
An interesting artifact of upscaling using a model like Real-ESRGAN. If you use @Photoshop 's background removal feature and save the image as PNG, there is still some data left in the channels around the object that can be recovered. Here's a quick demo. In other tests, I got WAY more data back.
Logged in to @JSTOR through my Microsoft (@live.com) account and was automatically provided access via the @amermathsoc to a paper that I don't imagine is of much interest to them/their members. Did someone give access to everyone with a @live.com email ?
Does anyone else find it cute that @perplexity_ai goes OUT OF ITS WAY to avoid using personal pronouns?
"If you tell me more, a flow can be outlined" 👉👈
So pissed off about the new @warpdotdev pricing model. I maxed out my $50 Turbo plan and was willing to upgrade to the $200 Lightspeed plan - turns out neither exists anymore. The new pricing makes me so mad I'm looking to switch. @cursor_ai was only a hair behind recently🤞
"If the user doesn't struggle for a feature, do they really want it?"
TFW when you're @Azure but don't want to show a simple "You need an active Azure subscription". Instead, you use completely unintuitive screens and verbiage.
This cloaked model was pulled from @openrouter right after @OpenAI 's GPT 5.1 was launched. Coincidence?
