Through Monday, nearly 914,000 Tennesseans have voted early, 50% ahead of 2022 and 14% behind 2018, though the last several days have narrowed the gap with ’18. Below: several county maps and charts of turnout and same-day comparisons with the last two governor’s elections.
Having seen several ET accounts posting theirs today, here's my version of "Who would you vote for in each European Country":

And finally, the party primary participation in the district: 59% Republican. Interestingly there is still a difference between the ancestrally R areas in Wayne and Hardin Co's at >90% Republican vs. the ancestrally D rural areas in middle TN that are only >80% Republican. (3/3)
On the Dem side, State Rep. Justin Pearson won almost all precincts in his 66%-24% over State Sen. London Lamar. 60% of the Dem primary votes in the district were cast in Shelby Co, next was 12% from Williamson and 4% from the tiny part of Rutherford. (2/3)
TN 9th Dist. map by precinct: @SenBrentTaylor won 46%-26% over Rep. Todd Warner, who took Bedford Co and southern Marshall and Wayne. Like Henry in the 6th, Jeremy Thompson won 2/3rds at home in Lincoln Co. but little elsewhere. Dem and partisan share maps in thread. (1/3)
Precinct results in the TN 6th GOP primary, where State Rep. @JohnnyGarrett took the open seat 44%-30% over fmr US Rep Van Hilleary. Garrett won 14 of 17 counties; Hilleary ran strong on east side of Cookeville, Jon Henry swept his home Smith co. with 65% and came 2nd in 3 more.
And here's the Dem primary map for the new 5th. @chazmolder won overall by 7 points but a big disparity between the retained and new parts of the district - 49pt lead in the retained part, 1pt lead in the new territory.
Precinct results map where Fmr. Ag Commissioner @HatcherforTN unseated Rep. Andy Ogles in the TN 5th GOP primary, 53%-47%. Hatcher won the new part of the redistricted 5th by 8pt, and the area Ogles already represented by 2pt. Dem map in thread.
And here are the GOP Gov results apportioned by Congressional, State Senate and State House districts, with the caveat that some of these #'s are estimates in cases where districts split precinct boundaries.
Here's the complete map of TN 8/6 GOP Gov. primary results by precinct from the @tnsecofstate certified data published today. See the thread for high-res link and the result by districts.
State Rep. Todd Warner ran for both his TN House seat and the 9th District GOP nod for Congress. He held the House by 4 pts - down 11 in Marshall County (62% of the district's votes) but up 30 in the Williamson part.
We had a matchup of 2 former mayors in open seat TN House Dist. 78 - Perry Keenan (fmr. Pleasant View Mayor) beat John Louallen (Pegram), 56%-44%. Keenan won by about 12 pts in both Cheatham and Dickson Cos, scoring over 60% in Pleasant View and Ashland City.
In the open seat TN House Dist. 81, Tipton Co. Commissioner Brett Giannini beat Covington official Jason Fleming, 57%-43%. Fleming won Covington and carried Haywood Co. by 17 pts, but Giannini won Tipton by 17, including 74% of the vote in his home of Atoka.
In TN House D27, Rep. Michele Reneau beat a primary challenge from attorney Tony Hullender, 58%-42%. She gained about 7 points almost evenly across the district vs. her 2024 win over then-Rep. Patsy Hazlewood, improving most in Lookout Valley and losing a bit at Flat Top Mtn.
There was a 4-way contest for the Dem nod in TN House Dist. 59, which was won by fmr. TN Highway Patrol Lt.Col. Mark Proctor. The runner up was entrepreneur/lawyer Angie Lawless. Proctor performed best around Crieve Hall and Warner Parks while Lawless was stronger in Oak Hill.
Here's the primary composition in Davidson Co. by precinct. Nashville's 2026 August primary electorate was 3.5pts more Republican than 2022 but 12pts more Democratic than 2018.
Adding Nashville's precinct results for the 8/6 GOP Gubernatorial primary. Rose did best along I-440 corridor, Thompson Lane, Sylvan Park, and East Nash. @VoteMarsha won Bellevue, Cane Ridge, most of Hermitage and my own Charlotte Park precinct. 68 counties now on the state map.
Here's a partial precinct-level map of the 8/6 TN GOP Gubernatorial primary results. While we are a couple weeks away from having the complete certified results, I have received data from 50 counties so far. Thank you to those that responded!
