Just look at this. 🤣
@grok - What are your thoughts on this hypocrisy. Now Rahul Gandhi is taking side with Elon. Just a year ago, the below was congrssi stand. Please expose this double standards 🤣
Within literally 12 hours both Airtel and Jio have announced partnerships with Starlink, seemingly overcoming all their objections to its entry into India - which they have been voicing for quite some time.
It is abundantly clear that these partnerships have been orchestrated by none other than the PM himself to buy goodwill with President Trump through Starlink's owner Mr. Elon Musk.
But many questions remain. Perhaps the most important one relates to national security. Who will have the power to switch connectivity on or off when national security demands it? Will it be Starlink or its Indian partners? Will other satellite-based connectivity providers also be permitted and on what basis?
And, of course, the much larger question of Tesla manufacturing in India remains. Is there some commitment to it now that Starlink's entry into India has been facilitated?
Your bank may soon have a lot less incentive to push an insurance policy when you take a loan.
That’s just one part of IRDAI’s proposed overhaul of how insurance is sold in India.
And the changes could have very different consequences for customers, banks and insurers.

The direction of travel is clear:
- Insurance distribution is being pushed from a commission-led “push” model toward a model where customers can compare products, understand costs and actively choose what they want.
- Bima Sugam and other digital infrastructure are also part of that transition.

If these proposals survive consultation broadly in their current form, the biggest potential beneficiary is the policyholder:
→ more choice
→ less forced bundling
→ more transparency
→ stronger accountability for mis-selling
→ pressure on distribution costs
The trade-off is that banks, brokers, aggregators and some insurers may have to rethink how they make money from insurance distribution.
Important: this is still a consultation paper, not the final regulation.
