#CabinetDecisions
Historic decision today for private sector industries and startups by the Cabinet !!
The Union Cabinet, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji @narendramodi, has approved the Research Development & Innovation (RDI) Scheme with โน1 lakh crore fund (Rs 20000 allocated in this yearโs budget). It is a bold vision to transform India into a tech-driven, innovation-powered economy on the road to #ViksitBharat by 2047.
๐ซ Weโre proud to share that our CEO, Dr. Kunj Tandon, attended the Amaravati Quantum Workshop held on 30th June 2025 at Hotel Novotel, Amaravati, organized under the visionary Amaravati Quantum Valley Initiative by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
โจ We were pleased to host faculty members from Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pune on 27th June 2025 as part of the ongoing AICTE-sponsored ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Quantum Computing.

It is not correct to say that innovation funding is stuck in the 2010s. Contrarily, there's a quiet revolution underway since 2016โand it is gaining momentum for past 3-4 years.
Yes, the NIDHI PRAYAS scheme @IndiaDST is important โ but it was just the beginning. NIDHI Seed Support has offered funding up to โน1 crore. NIDHI ITBI (2021): Incubators in 50+ tier-2/3 cities now fuel grassroots innovation.
The powerful National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS), launched in 2019 has supported over 800 deep-tech startups via Tech Innovation Hubs, with grants ranging from โน 40 lakh to even more than โน 1 crore per startup.
Under our National Quantum Mission #NQM, we have recently funded startups in quantum technologies with substantial funding to each startup (with some even receiving Rs 25 Cr).
And here's the latest.
The Budget 2025-26 has earmarked โน 20,000 Cr against DST to drive private-sector-led R&D and innovationโpart of a โน1 lakh Cr corpus RDI Fund, This was an important but largely overlooked news by the media & through this transformative step, India is boldly bridging the lab-to-market gap at scale.
Additionally, the upcoming Deep Tech Fund of Funds signals that India is investing in the future.
India's innovation pipeline is not stuck; it's scaling. It's inclusive, and it is future-focused.
@IndiaDST has been playing, and continues to play, a very crucial role in science, technology, and innovation-driven India's growth journey
Indiaโs innovation funding is stuck in 2010s. It's flatlining, even as its ambitions soar.
But the fix isn't hard. The way ahead is to double down on whatโs working.
