Never understood why our cities don’t invest in UI/UX in their signages at public places.
Many cities in the world have their own font.
Milan - Milano city
Berlin - BMF change
Stockholm - Stockholm type
London Underground - Johnston
These stay consistent in all signage’s. At the Delhi airport I can spot 3 different fonts in the same signage. There is not enough margins between the text and the edges. These little things make a lot of difference and give out premium-ness. There is some effort in places like Jaipur & Lucknow in their old parts to at least regulate the shop-board colors to be same. But this is a low-hanging fruit to make a city aesthetically more pleasing.
