Genuinely insane how quiet everything got after this model shipped.
GPT 6.1 Sol and Kimi 3.1 Pro are great, but Anthropic absolutely changed the game with this model.
I cant wait to see what kind of beast Fable 5.5 is when it releases (hopefully soon)!

Okay... is Google *actually* back in the race?
I only have the basic Google subscription for extra storage...
But I know some people that are on the heavier tiers, so I'm gonna have them run some tests for me.
To anyone that's tried it yet- is it genuinely solid, or just another benchmaxxed model?
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model.
Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching.
We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards.
As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!
I genuinely hadn’t realized this til now.
I knew they were gonna reduce the $200 sub from 20x -> 10x, but I didn’t realize I had been grandfathered in.
I thought that GPT 6.1 Sol was just *that* efficient… but it makes a lot more sense now with how many resets Tibo has been giving out.
I’m glad I cancelled my 2nd Codex sub in favor of a third Claude Max sub - and will probably just end up upgrading to the $500 Codex subscription once Bel comes out.
Anyone else a tad bit blindsided by this?

Terrible news to be reminded of, of course. And the only way OpenAI can make this whole situation any less awful is by releasing a model that's as good as or better than Opus 5.5, while being way more efficient than the current GPT-6 Astra.
This is... underwhelming.
It's refreshing to see an honest benchmark- but I genuinely don't see *who* this model is for.
Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who used GPT 5.6 Terra a lot.
At first I thought the gray line was Opus 5.5... then I realized it was Sonnet 5.5... and my jaw dropped.
What am I missing here??
Looks like this is prevalent in @orca_build as well - but specifically for Chat Mode (as it uses the Agents SDK - not an Orca bug whatsoever).
I hope @AnthropicAI is able to get a fix for this pushed through ASAP.
Thankfully due to how flexible Orca is, this is easily circumnavigated by switching your sessions to “CLI Mode” - no context lost at all!

Genuinely haven’t hit my Codex limit *once* since the beginning of October.
I’m starting to think I should cancel my second $200/mo subscription, and maybe just upgrade my primary one to the $500/mo tier?
At least then I could use ultrafast mode to *maybe* be able to burn through my usage before each reset…

Another incredible tool that totally changed the way I work is @orca_build.
When I first started, I found myself constantly cyclically between the Claude and Codex desktop apps- and other CLI’s (like Grok Build!)
It took me a few days to get the hang of Orca once I downloaded it.. but next thing I knew everyone I knew was also using it as well after seeing me give it a shot.
Being able to use *all* of my subscriptions in one place, plus test out new models as soon as they come out (like @Kimi_Moonshot and other open source models through @opencode) makes me feel like I’m never tied to one family of models.
Truly an incredible piece of software, and 100% open source!
What do you use to code with AI?
I didn't really understand the hype with AI until @leocreated showed me @WisprFlow, and that's when everything really changed for me.
The idea that I could just talk to Claude or Codex and watch my ideas come to life literally made me feel like a kid again.
Most people spend way too much time trying to craft the perfect prompt, but I've found it's usually way more effective to get the entire idea out, even if it's imperfect.
Talking through my ideas out loud helps me flesh them out way more before even sending the first prompt.
I can even change my mind halfway through, and the frontier models are really good at making sense of it all and figuring out what I actually want.

Starting an agency with @christopherYTS while pushing the limits of what AI can do with @leocreated has led to this year being my most fulfilling year on this beautiful Earth.
So many ideas, so little time.

On December 24th, my Tappy channel was falsely demonetized for something that is not true.
This is messed up because a lot of people rely on this channel. It seems as though a lot of people have been having this same issue lately, and unfortunately it's effected me as well. I've been making videos for years on this channel and i have over 800 videos. Never got a single strike and for this to happen all of sudden is super upsetting so I'm sure its a mistake.
