My 7yo has popped across the road to the care home to read to the residents.
Today he is reading Storm Whale by @Benji_Davies

I made a silly thing about Declan Rice, but then it turned out to be a moderately interesting thing.

So excited about this! I had this idea several years ago, but didn’t have the technical knowledge to do it.
Our MTC (multiplication check) is perfect for year 4, and our MTC+ is designed to help children apply their knowledge to fractions, decimals etc.

Seeing all the Marvel posts makes me think I have a LOT of homework to do before Doomsday in December.
My son's iPad died so got a new refurb one. Restored it from a backup and it added screentime to brick the iPad. It doesn't like the password.
That's ok, I'll reset it...or not. I have to wait while Apple evaluate my info to decide when I can reset it!
Urgh. Stupid system.
I love @BBCNewsround, watched it this week and then had a fab discussion with Y4 about social media. A few of them admitted they felt addicted and couldn't turn away from their devices. Lots of mature discussions about the possible new law and lots of questions too!

Suggesting that the only alternative to being online for 9 hours is ‘staring at a wall’ is the best argument ever for getting kids away from screens in order to rediscover what the real world is.
Did the MTC today with my class, it was awesome to see so many children smashing it. They have worked SOOOO hard this year to improve their times table fluency speed :-)
Hahahahah! Just seen this on FB:

Have you found yourself in the hideous position of having a Reform councillor?
Here’s how you can help your brand new councillor settle into local government properly: email them this week with an actual council problem to solve.
Got rubbish piling up? Email them.
Bus vanished from existence? Email them.
Streetlights dead? Email them.
Care package delayed? Email them.
Pavement like the Somme? Email them.
Send them in by the hundred. Make sure they’re made very clear on what their job is.
Being a councillor is not standing in front of the Union flag shouting about dinghies on GB News. It’s reading committee papers at midnight, attending meetings nobody enjoys, holding surgeries in church halls, and dealing with the endlessly glamorous world of drains, social care budgets and recycling disputes.
Welcome to local government.
The boats are in Kent. The bins are in your ward.
The email address for your ward councillor can be found on your local council website as soon as it’s updated.
Feel free to copy and paste to share wider.
My @HotpointUK dishwasher died after 18months. 3 engineers came, tried to fix and all said it needed replacing, Hotpoint refused.
Awful customer service throughout.
@ao stepped up and sorted it straight away, absolutely amazing as always.

I have deleted my original debunk of this story as it appears it is actually an amalgamation of 2 stories...
(Don't let anyone tell you I'm not prepared to be corrected!!)
So let's look at them individually:
We'll start with the photo...
So what's going on?

ALT Screenshot of a tweet saying: * WTF: Lincolnshire Church of England primary school allegedly forced 7-year-old children (none Muslim) to perform full Islamic prayers to Allah in RE lesson. "We did prayers to Allah yesterday," one girl told her father. Pupils were shown a demonstration video then told to kneel, bow heads & copy the movements themselves. Angry parents reported it to Lincolnshire Police. School unnamed amid backlash fears. Disgraceful. There is a Picture of children in school uniforms kneeling on the floor, heads down, in a classroom setting
