Raskin: "When historians look back on this miserable period of our history, they might say that the first problem was disregarding all those women who told us back in 2016 that they had been sexually harassed or assaulted by Donald Trump. But he got elected even after he was adjudicated civilly responsible for sexually attacking E Jean Carroll"

This is horrific. Residents of occupied Oleshky who wish to escape to free Ukraine will not be allowed to cross the Dnipro River – which is less than 4 km away. They will be taken to occupied Crimea or to the Russian Federation, where they will be subjected to coercive measures.

Kyiv. Evening. Power outage. Missile threat. I’m choosing a small induction hob that can work with my new EcoFlow. Hot food in winter can help. Gas cookers? I told them no. A few minutes ago I registered for a tour of artists’ studios. Survival and Art. My immediate plans.

Trump's war in Iran saved Putin.
Russia earned $2.76 billion from seaborne crude exports last week, Bloomberg reports, marking the highest weekly total since the start of the full-scale invasion. Export value jumped by about $430 million as weekly oil shipments increased sharply. #Russia

Scenes from the aftermath of Russia's ballistic missile strike on a university campus in Kyiv. Five students and staff were injured. That was no military target anywhere nearby. Russia's goal was to cripple the school, kill students and staff, and terrorize civilians.
Russian ballistic missiles struck a Kyiv university, injuring students and staff. The attack came hours after UN investigators concluded that Russia's deliberate strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure constituted war crimes and crimes against humanity. View article

🇮🇹 Ukraine has been waiting for military aid from Italy since December last year The package is ready, the missiles are waiting, but there's still no authorization to send them, La Repubblica reports. “The main thing is to delay, delay, delay,” the newspaper describes the current situation. The reason? The US midterm elections on November 3, whose results Rome is waiting for. Meanwhile, Kyiv is waiting for something far from insignificant: the package includes air defense missiles.

Seems that Putin is now just allowed to directly write US foreign policy from the bunker in exchange for fat cash payments to the Trump family. Taking sanctions of Russia's Direct Investment Fund will mean billions more for Putin's war on Europe. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/us/po…

🚨🇺🇸 Have you noticed how often Donald Trump seems to trust Vladimir Putin more than America’s own intelligence community and NATO allies? I keep wondering why. Maybe the question sounds unbelievable: is Trump a Russian asset? I avoided even asking it for a long time because I respect the choice of American voters. But right now, his alignment with Putin creates risks not only for Ukraine, but for NATO, Europe, and ultimately the United States itself. 🇺🇦 Ukraine is already feeling the consequences through problems with intelligence support and Starshield, while pressure on Russia has been weakened. Putin has always wanted a weaker, more divided West. And then there is the history. Trump travelled to the Soviet Union in the 1980s, and soon afterward publicly criticized the cost of America defending its allies. Decades later, he still seems far more willing to trust Putin than many of those allies. So maybe Ukraine is only one part of a much bigger test. We are the litmus test. 💙💛 Stay united and stay attentive. Our freedom, our countries, and our democratic institutions are worth defending. The fastest route to ending the killing is extending Starshield’s reach several hundred kilometers into Russia, to pressure Vladimir Putin and eliminate more of his capacity to launch strikes on Ukraine. wsj.com/opinion/elon-musk-st… via @WSJopinion

"There’s no news about Patriot missiles, and frankly, nobody is even asking about production licenses for them anymore. Interestingly enough, we were never granted licenses to produce these missiles because our "partners" in the US fear that if we scale up production, a bunch of countries will no longer depend on the US—and they can't let that happen at any cost! Someone is terrified for their profits, while we're over here fearing for our lives. Such is life." - Popular Ukrainian Blogger Associated with Air Defense's Vanek.
