I don’t think you’re understanding what @robbietweets is saying. All generative AI models are trained on either licensed or stolen data. That’s the baseline. From what I’ve seen, Shift Up and @jamm3rd clearly created their own 3D assets and character models. They then feed those assets into generative AI when producing scenes for the trailer and the MV. That would explain why Evie’s appearance is so inconsistent from scene to scene. In some shots she looks like a child, in others a young teenager, and at best she still looks underage. I also believe they’re prompting the AI with terms like “young face,” “youthful,” or “child-like features.” Those prompts are strong enough to override the base character model, which is why her face, body proportions, and even height keep shifting between scenes. I don’t think the reveal trailer is entirely in-game footage either. The cutscenes have clear AI tells — uncanny clothing, clipping issues, and drastic changes in Evie’s face and height when you pause the video. What this actually tells us is that parts of the game (or at least the marketing) will not be built entirely from the ground up. Corners will be cut, originality and visual consistency will suffer, all in the name of saving time and money. You’re right that Unreal Engine 5 has AI tools, but when those tools start carrying too much of the load, the result often looks like a soulless tech demo instead of a polished game.
