A team is currently the cave underneath Vrh Planja today, pushing and setting up ropes at the top of the 60 m pitch found in the last exploration session. The age-old question, will it go? The Sila Narave 2022 @iccc and jspdt expedition continues...

That's it. The minibus is neatly packed and ready to go for the long journey back to the UK. Another expedition draws to a close under the blazing sun in of Tolmin.

Yesterday was the last day of caving: temperature loggers are now installed in M17 ice cave to monitor cave micro-climate over the following years. We also finished carries down to Ravne, helped the Koblučar family with collecting hay from the fields and shared a goodbye drink.

Today we packed the equipment, loaded the bus and left the Ravne house for Tolmin. Now off for a meal and a swim by the Soča river. Later this afternoon we'll be explaining our discoveries to the local media before heading off to the traditional party with the JSPDT.

On Sunday we checked Spodnji, the pitch below Pivnica on the original route to the bottom of Primadona. The pitches above Donji Milanovac take a clear draught and are rigged in the dry. A clear objective for next year's expedition!

On Monday the campers found a dry route at the southern end of Klic Globin rift, heading straight towards 190. 180m in the books with two superb leads. 1) a draughty abandoned crawlway leading to a chamber. 2) a 7m pitch into what is clearly the largest streamway in Primadona.

Today our underground camp was packed up and 13 cavers went underground to help with ferrying all the gear out of Primadona. Two remain in the cave to pull the ropes up the wet pitches, expected out later tonight.

Mouseleum leads to series of technical squeezes and a draughting muddy tube at 770m depth, 'the Chocolate River', which will require digging before further progress is made. Up in Hammerhead, Damp Squib is a parallel route leading to the boulder collapse of High and Dry.

We are preparing a two pronged assault on the 'Canticle for Migovec' branch tomorrow, while a third team goes camping at the Manger to check the last leads near 'Mouseleum', and start the derigging of the pitches below camp.

The day train returned from pushing Lumos (near Hammerhead), getting to several dead ends. More leads remain in Hammerhead 2. We are awaiting more news from the deep end tomorrow.

Another group ticked off leads in the very draughty Cloaca Maxima (above Alkatraz), finding two impassable rifts and bolt climbing 7m into an aven. They also took photos of some of the rare Migovec black popcorn calcite. It looks like this branch is thoroughly explored.

A group of 3 went to M19 yesterday, a cave last explored in 1996. A series of small pitches below a snow slope eventually led to a larger drop (p15), undescended yet. There was very little ice left in the deeper parts of the cave.

The day train in camp has pushed Hammerhead and found 100+m of passage, leaving several unexplored leads and an undescended 15m pitch. Another team goes camping today to investigate these new passages very close to our UG camp.

Another team goes on the night train to push the Mouseleum, thr deepest point yet in Primadona. Successful feathers and wedges action in a dig south of the Bivi yesterday led to a small chamber, which requires additional digging before 'going'.

@iccc On Saturday, we surveyed 70m of passage heading North East of the Monatip Big Chamber. The lead goes, with a fair draught. On Sunday, a maze of small crawlways ends in draughting boulder chokes or even smaller crawls.
