New from me: About 9 months ago, I set out to write about how NEA funding cuts would impact the film industry. The more I researched, the more I realized the history of NEA support is key to the bigger picture of indie filmmaking in the U.S.

Why do you look away when a child is crying for help?
My son is not a headline.
He is not a number.
👉 chuffed.org/project/154530-h… 💔🙏
He is not a political argument.
He is a child lying in a hospital bed right now — in pain.
Tell me honestly…
If this were your child, would you scroll past?
Would you sleep while he cries?
Would you say, “It’s not my problem”?
I am a mother with nothing left in my hands but prayers and this small screen.
I don’t have power. I don’t have influence.
I only have God… and the kindness of strangers.
Every day I wake up afraid it will be the day I lose him.
And still, silence answers me.
Please don’t let my child become another “too late.
If you have a heart act before regret is all that’s left. 🕯️💔
