I think people who fetishise books and reading like this are worse than people who don’t read at all. Reading should be something you do as a matter of course, then do what you want with the book once you’re finished, it’s not a religion

I have a fruit fly in my kitchen and it’s driving me demented. I’m clapping more than a backing singer in Bony M

When i see “no dm”, i think of football with “no defensive midfielder” which is quite an important position in the team

Military chaps back from the Great War proposing marriage after two chaperoned dates then after being spurned flying off in their biplanes to crash over The Sudan by suicide. Adore it. Bonkers.

Excitingly, the video from this appears to feature colourised footage of either HMS Rodney or Nelson, battleships built in the late 1920s and scrapped in the late 40s, which won’t be stopping any small boats.
In my first 100 days I will stop the boats forever.

Booked. Rubasingham on her plans for the National and Samuel Barnett on Pride's transfer to the Bridge, live at the Saatchi Gallery. This promises to be a fascinating hour.
