Lakers clearly were planning to blow the 2025 roster up from the beginning, and made a list of guys they liked.
Once the 2025 team over-performed, instead of resigning the guys that got them to the second round, they followed through with their original plan anyways.
Now they’re stuck with a squad of people who haven’t accomplished a thing in the NBA, and let a bunch of experience walk out the door.
