I’ve seen so many people bashing #DoctorX claiming that it’s completely unrealistic and impossible for someone to live with a bullet lodged in their head for over 40 years. But calling it impossible couldn’t be further from the truth. There are documented real life cases of people surviving for decades with bullets lodged in their brains. Two such cases are Kobus van Wyk, who lived for over 20 years with a bullet lodged in his head, and William Lawlis Pace, who lived for an incredible 94 years with a bullet lodged in his head. The bullets were left in place because removing them through surgery carried an extremely low chance of survival. Both managed to lead relatively normal lives, just like what’s portrayed in Doctor X. However, they also endured long term complications, including relying on painkillers for years and permanent damage to their facial nerves, which affected their hearing and vision.
