Watching this clip gave me a hundred and one feelings all at once. A billionaire is telling you that the current government's policies and "reforms" are tailored to make the rich richer and the poor poorer, but some ordinary Nigerians who belong among the poor don't mind selling their souls to help push these devilish reforms.
Atedo Peterside is a billionaire and you can hear him imply that the "reforms" favour him, yet he's here telling you that they are not the right reforms for a country like Nigeria and where we are at the moment.
That said, let me say the things I believe he didn't want to say out of the need to maintain decorum. In plain words, the reforms are tailored to favour the corrupt. Billionaires like him who built clean wealth from the grouns up just happen to benefit from the reforms because they're vested in the same financial spaces the corrupt ones steal all our commonwealth to get into and colonise and there's no way to stop them from benefitting from the so-called "reforms."
A good illustration is a known corrupt ex-militant trying to execute a majority takeover of a Nigerian bank. We don't understand how dangerous these things are, when people like that suddenly have enough wealth to attempt to take over our financial institutions. This is the legacy that the government of the day wants to entrench, and brethren, this is why we must fight, and fight like our lives depend on it.
Nigeria may currently be plagued by elites and billionaires who are either just as corrupt as the government or depend on government patronage for survival and so can not speak the truth to power. This is why I always say a silent prayer of gratitude whenever I listen to Atedo Peterside speak

FUNSO DOHERTY EXPOSES THE PYRAMID OF AGBEROISM AND MULTI-LAYERED TAXATION ON LAGOS ROADS; THE PYRAMID.
The Lagos State Governorship Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), HE Funso Doherty, has drawn attention to what he describes as an entrenched system of agberoism and multiple layers of taxation operating across Lagos roads, raising serious questions about who benefits from the system and the burden it places on residents, motorists, traders, and transport operators. Here's is the pyramid.
According to Funso Doherty, the problem goes beyond the activities of individual street-level collectors. He argues that agberoism has evolved into a deeply entrenched structure, allegedly sustained by political interests and used as a channel for extracting revenue from ordinary Lagosians.
His position raises a fundamental question: why has a problem that continues to affect the daily lives and economic activities of Lagos residents remained unresolved?
Doherty argues that meaningful reform requires confronting the structures that sustain this system, rather than merely addressing its visible operators. Lagos deserves a transparent, accountable, and properly regulated transport and revenue collection system; one that protects livelihoods, eliminates arbitrary levies, and allows businesses and commuters to thrive without unnecessary financial burdens.
The people of Lagos deserve answers, accountability, and a government that puts their welfare above political interests.
The conversation about a cleaner, safer, and more accountable Lagos must begin with confronting the structures that undermine its progress.

Glad to see that the mouth is included in the conversation.
Seeing that basic treatment would be given, cleaning the mouth is also a basic treatment that brings significant transformation

ALT A typical appearance of a mouth with deposit of dental plaque and calculus, a finding that is very common. Beyond the effect locally in the mouth, it has been shown that these deposits have systemic effects. A particular one of concern is the reduction in the glycemic control in DM patients irrespective of the drug combination
Let's do a Medical Outreach.
One of the largest in Nigeria.
We'd do Vital signs like Blood pressure, Blood glucose, weight, height, we will also check for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Blood group, Rhesus status.
We'd provide free dental and eye check ups.
We'd have psychologists for counseling sessions too.
We will partner with vaccination services for vaccination, distribute free pads.
We will provide some basic medications and link them to Healthcare.

Weβve finished auditing the preliminary voters register for Abia State, thanks to our team of βvolunteersβ. The full report is on the way.
In the meantime, here are the gibberish names we found in the register. 75 of them are in a single ward, Eziama in Aba North.
If you see one in your polling unit, flag it on INECβs online register with βReport Suspected Irregularityβ before the final register comes out on 15 December.

You might think the biggest problem with high blood pressure is finding better treatment.
This study from multiple African countries reveals the main gap
So this week, get your blood pressure measured properly.
A high reading is not a diagnosis.
It is a reason to measure again on another day and to see a health professional.
