It’s taken me a couple of days to really let it sink in that one of my favourite studios is shutting down.
I had the privilege of working at BioWare a couple of years ago. Like many people in my generation, I grew up playing their games. I still remember being absolutely obsessed with the cinematics in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It was definitely one of the biggest influences early in my life that pushed me to pursue a career in animation.
A lot of people probably didn’t know this, but I was working on Mass Effect: Universe during pre-production before I got moved over to Motive to help out on Iron Man. That move was ultimately out of my control, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t disappointing. It was bittersweet leaving a project I was genuinely passionate about, especially one that meant so much to me growing up.
Looking back, I do wish some decisions had been made differently. Unfortunately, the people closest to the work don’t always get a say in the decisions that shape its future.
My heart goes out to everyone affected by the closure, especially those who were still there. BioWare has had such a huge influence on the industry and on so many of us who grew up playing their games.
I really hope everyone lands on their feet. ❤️

Mom and Dad finally went out after 8 months. Watching Bruno Mars was an experience. He sold out Vancouver 5 days in a row. Just so inspired and proud a Filipino could reach those heights in music and entertainment. Unforgettable experience.

Haven’t made a boxing video in ages, but I’m considering making another tier list (like this one a couple of years ago). Maybe ranking all the current heavyweights? Such a talent rich division and I want to talk about them all

I’ve been in animation for over 15 years now, and I came across these pictures that brought back so many memories.
I remember my uncles getting my brother and me these Ultimate Guide books for X-Men and Spider-Man. We were absolutely obsessed with them. I used to bring them to school just to show my friends, and my brother and I would spend hours having drawing sessions, literally just copying the artwork straight out of those books.
We’d also spend countless hours playing games like X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom. We were completely obsessed with these characters, their stories, and everything about that world.
Looking back, it’s crazy how much those little moments influenced my life and shaped the career I have today. What started as two kids sharing a love for comics, video games, and drawing became the foundation for a lifelong passion for art and animation.
It’s funny how you don’t realize it at the time, but those little childhood moments can end up shaping so much of who you become.
