I hate to sound like an Unc, but if this is true, it speaks to a bigger problem I’ve been noticing. Growing up, if you lost a fight, you took your L and kept it movin. Nowadays, too many young ppl are quick to pick up a gun because they can’t handle losing a fight.

Their soldiers are putting their lives at risk to help confront a security crisis that is not theirs to bear.
Instead of acting as though El Salvador was obligated to do this, perhaps we should show some gratitude and recognize the sacrifice being made. Help should be appreciated, not treated as an entitlement.
Solidarity is a choice, not an obligation. And sacrifice deserves recognition, not entitlement. 🇭🇹🫱🏻🫲🏾 🇸🇻

Nah bro, they haven’t done a thing yet. Why would Haitians be grateful already? Let’s wait and see how they operate so we can understand their motive. I have seen boots on ground too many times with nothing to show for it in my lifetime. Forgive me if I need proof first.

Another cargo flight from El Salvador to Haiti today. Flights bringing personnel have been hidden on flight trackers. Meanwhile we now know the US and Colombian military have helped with logistics. Further, the Dominican Republic has offered its support and is serving as logistical hub for the delivery of helicopters and other equipment. Haiti, once again a laboratory for regional security policies.
Haiti deserves peace. What could an alternative approach look like?
