Probably true! Both Tottenham Court Road & Bond Street are accessible. The only cars that were allowed were cabs anyway, so if that is important to someone, a cab can still drop them off at the back/side entrances of ie John Lewis, Selfridges etc. And mobility scooters are ok
Finally made it to V&A Storehouse to have a look around. Fantastic space, interesting things on display (especially the furniture and theatrical decor) & super friendly, welcoming staff. I shall go back with more time! Sorry, just a quick mobile phone pic, but it’s huge in there.

Because there are several other routes you can take instead by bike and this is meant to be a safe pedestrian only zone?

No, and I’m glad they didn’t. It’s mean to be traffic free and pedestrianised, safe to just stroll, linger. A central cycle lane would destroy that.

Very cute! Both the toddler and the cuddly Willow.
PS. Yes I know what you mean regarding early poppies, they all seem to be wearing them from mid to late October already, as if it's some sort of competition.
Well if her electricity bills are equally high, then my best guess is she is may either be running a secret indoor cannabis plantation in the basement or a launderette. Or they’e installed an Olympic sized swimming pool 😁
No, not in one year, but 2017-2025 claimed sum on taxpayer expenses, according to a freedom of information request by Led by Donkeys.

Apparently, this was the amount she claimed for her household, on taxpayer's expenses, between 2017-2025. So not in one year. Still a rather extraordinary sum to be claiming.
Has anyone checked if Suella Braverman is now running a laundry business from home? Or a data centre? Just wondering....how does one run up a 45k utility bill?

I don't mind, I used to really enjoy photographing the media round there. But in the last couple of years, it has become more and more difficult and restrictive.

I guess those NHS coffers really are quite empty.

Ah! Yes, I used to like sitting on the top deck, watching and photographing people, too 😉. But that will still be possible in Regent Street, I suppose. Perhaps eventually, in a few years, they'll have a trolley bus or little e-tram?
It hope the transformation will be done sensibly - don't try to make it look like any other global retail area with soulless steel and glass facades, or people lose interest. Keep its character, or rather give it back some of its character. Make it greener, friendlier.

I remember driving down Oxford Street in the eves sometimes, when that was still possible. It was so different, BhS still there, House of Frazer, Debenhams, Top Shop, and a bigger variety of shops overall. A real destination. Now they all look the same, selling the same.

Oxford Street, or the traffic there? I used to not mind it so much, but now I dread going to Oxford Street because it's loud and hectic and not inviting me to linger. I hope that will change. I get that it will affect cabbies and residents, though. but it can't go on like this.
