I felt very smart and responsible buying a secondhand but *Very* Fancy European Status Crib for my incoming baby, except now I have descended into the hellscape known as shopping for Special Accessories and proprietary conversion kits specific to said crib.

Knitting baby sweaters is so relaxing because as long as its bigger than your newborn baby they can wear it at at some point so I just get to cruise along, try nutty color combos, and test the occasional new technique.
I am looking forward to the honor of dressing my baby up in sweaters with little ears on them for as long as they let me. A public service!
My strongest cooking opinion is that the only 15 minute recipes are meals you have made at least 5 times. I have a bunch standbys that simply fill whatever time or patience I have to make them that day.

Shout-out to my friends for being normal people who looked at my baby registry, purchased something they felt comfortable spending $$$ on, and moved on with their life!

it's crazy how people can't just admit that they're not interested in cooking or don't care about learning to cook instead of pretending it's some kind of impossible, herculean task and therefore the people who can pull it off must be wealthy and privileged or whatever
Time to brag: made some GF potato buns from scratch tonight and used them for burgers (sliders size) and even to my gluten eating self they were very, very good.

ALT A lightbulb appears over a man's head as he gets an idea. Suddenly two new lightbulbs materialize much to his worry. These sprout into a dozen lightbulbs. He runs away as he is now being chased by hundreds of constantly multiplying lightbulbs. A man off to the side says "he took the cartoon Adderall." Another comments "foolish lad."
I want to eat hot, freshly fried doughnuts out of a greasy paper bag, ideally coated in sugar.
This feels like an easy thing to find in new york but is hard to search for. Any suggestions?
The best part about my stint living in Quebec is that I get so much more Celine on the algorithm than I used to.
After getting some truly weird questions at my job lately I have to ask: are there bookstores where you aren't allowed to look at books when browsing?
