Was called upon by elder brother Ta Tenao Thangjam from Sagolband Thangjam Leirak, where we had a fruitful discussion on various issues, reflecting on the journey of the last 15 years.
Although we have never been on the same political platform over the past decade and a half, with him having supported the former MLA for more than two decades, we have now pledged to work together for the welfare and development of the people of the locality and Sagolband as a whole.
We are committed to moving forward together with a shared vision of serving the people and building upon the developmental and welfare initiatives undertaken in Sagolband over the past 14.5 years.

Warm Greetings on the Auspicious Occasion of Mera Houchongba.
May the beautiful festival of Mera Houchongba strengthen the bonds of love, unity, peace and brotherhood among all communities in the hill and the valley. May this sacred occasion bring happiness, prosperity, and harmony to every home.
Wishing everyone a Happy and Blessed Mera Houchongba.
Wonderful interacting with the members of Keisamthong Kabui Khul, including the respected elders of Thoubei, on the completion of the upgradation and renovation of the community hall. The works include newly installed roofing materials and the completion of the stage. Concrete laying along the pathway to the cemetery has also been undertaken, along with ground development to pave the way for a new park and open gym in the near future.
It was truly heartwarming to receive the blessings of the elders, whose wisdom and encouragement inspire us in all our future endeavours.
Over the past few years, water pipelines have been laid across the entire locality, ensuring an adequate water supply to the adjoining areas. Rigid pavement works will commence soon, with the construction of drains and the laying of paver blocks to further improve local infrastructure and connectivity.

Such operations are the need of the hour, and it should be done across the whole State and ensure that no illegal weapon is being used and kept. Government should commence Operation Manipur and save all our people from anarchy and further destruction.

On 23/10/2026, a joint operation by Manipur Police, QAT CRPF and CoBRA was conducted at Sinai Camp, a designated SoO camp of KNO/KNA and KNO/KLA.

OPERATION MANIPUR: DISARMAMENT OF ALL WEAPONS
The time has come to initiate “Operation Manipur”, a decisive, lawful and comprehensive initiative to protect the people of Manipur and prevent further disintegration of the state’s social fabric under the shadow of armed violence and fear.
I have consistently maintained that disarmament is the key to lasting peace in Manipur. Particular attention must be given to the hill areas, where serious concerns persist over the movement of armed groups and the continued presence of illegal weapons.
Submitted a formal representation to the Governor and the CM of Manipur, urging the government to take concrete, time-bound measures to disarm all unlawful armed groups, recover illegal weapons and ensure stringent legal action against those responsible for killing unarmed civilians and terrorising ordinary people. Had earlier initiated this proposal to the CM in August too.
Also call for the abrogation of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement, which requires urgent reconsideration in light of the continuing concerns over armed intimidation, public safety and accountability. No agreement should become a shield against accountability or undermine the security and confidence of ordinary citizens.
Peace cannot be sustained while illegal weapons remain in circulation and innocent civilians continue to live in fear. The rule of law must prevail and every citizen deserves security, dignity and equal protection, irrespective of community or geographical location.
Urge the government to act with determination, impartiality and constitutional responsibility. The objectives must be clear - protect innocent lives, restore public confidence, ensure accountability, dismantle unlawful armed intimidation and create the conditions necessary for a peaceful and united Manipur.

Interacted with the youths of Sagolband along with their guardians, engaging in meaningful discussions on a wide range of issues concerning Sagolband and the State as a whole. We also reflected on our political journey, which began nearly 15 years ago, and the experiences and lessons gathered along the way.
I urged everyone to make an informed and judicious choice when electing their representative by carefully examining the candidate’s antecedents, vision for the constituency and the State, and track record, both as an individual and in public life.
The future of our constituency and our State depends on the choices we make today. Let us choose wisely, choose the person who is amongst the people for all the five years, working for the betterment of the people, and not be seen only during the run up to an election.

A view of the Nambul riverside road at night, from Keisampat to Masjid Road. Five years ago, street lamps were installed along this stretch, which had remained completely dark despite being in the heart of our city.
Over time, the street lamps required repairs and we have now refurbished the entire stretch with new electrical wiring and new bulbs and lamps, many of which were stolen. The road is now brightly illuminated at night, providing greater safety, convenience and comfort to the residents of Paona Bazaar and Kakhulong.
Meanwhile, road levelling work at Paona Bazaar and the adjoining areas has also commenced, with FDR (Full Depth Reclamation) and concrete road laying set to follow soon.
Step by step, we are working towards better infrastructure and improved civic amenities for all.
