Last season, Mack put up a Hart caliber performance. If you take him away, the Sharks would absolutely not have had the success they did. Their underlying metrics are pretty abysmal so far, except for goaltending, so it is very fair to ask questions about the coaching staff
#SJSharks are 7-7-1, not 1-13-1.
It’s not time to replace a coaching staff that led a 34-point improvement last season.
That said, through 15 games, there are serious concerns with how the Sharks are playing: sanjosehockeynow.com/san-jos…
genuinely curious how they came up with the three options in the poll because based on the comments, there are several other guys who would also be very deserving of player of the month

As much as I have serious concerns regarding Warsofsky and the coaching staff, Grier really isn't getting enough heat for some of the baffling decisions he's made in the last year from extensions to trades to free agent signings, the only thing that's been good is the draft

Our team cannot produce 5on5 & has practically no depth. Only ONE player on this team has been capable of complimenting & producing alongside Will & Mack- that’s Cherny. And if talk is true, then our GM seriously considered trading him for someone who isn’t even a #1 dman LMFAO

The #SJSharks need to take a long look in the mirror after today's game. It sounds like that's what will happen. This is MY OPINION. Criticism for tough play should be and is fair, but remember, these people are human—my thoughts on @SharksHKYDigest.⤵️

The lone bright spot on the Sharks season so far is that Asky and Ned are providing very solid goaltending as a tandem. Too bad the rest of the team can't get anything done.
Every NHL team's goalie tandem, ranked by goals saved above expected (2026-27 · through Oct 31)
1. Askarov · Nedeljkovic (#TheFutureIsTeal) +9.8
2. Swayman · DiPietro (#NHLBruins) +9.7
3. Sorokin · Varlamov (#Isles) +7.1
Last: Meriläinen · Lankinen (#Canucks) −11.6

There's a lot of talk on the #SJSharks line combos right now, and that is understandable. But there is more to coaching than putting combos together. Systems are a huge part of success, and that's arguably the biggest difference between the Sharks and every other NHL team. IMO, that's what needs to change. I'll put a story out on this later tonight.
Updating this once again to say that if he's still here by November 15th, I will be disappointed. This isn't working. The current Sharks roster does not fit his coaching style at all, and I'm tired of the unequal TOI being used to only punish the young guys

People are really looking at this team and think we can afford to trade Cherny. LMFAOOOOOO
Watch Ryan Warsofsky pull some bs like benching Celebrini or Smith next because you know he's not actually going to address the real problems here, and he definitely won't bench the vets who need it like Orlov, Goodrow, or even Marchment
#SJSharks Warsofsky asked about team buy in being an issue still: “Yeah. We got to work on that.”
He added this about sending a message: “Yeah, I think there is. I mean, look, you know, sometimes the best tool coach has is to take someone out, take away ice time. So we'll look at everything.”
*** ****** can I interest you in once more coaching one (1) Macklin Celebrini? I hear the weather in San Jose is pretty nice, and you seemed to hit it off quite nicely at the Olympics
