Respecting yourself comes down to know that you can trust yourself to follow through on the things you say you’re going to do.
It’s about integrity - knowing you can trust yourself to do what’s right even when it’s far harder.

Advice my dad just gave me:
"Do your best and be at peace with it."

Most people need consistency more than they need intensity.
Intensity:
-run a marathon
-write a book in 30 days
-silent meditation retreat
Consistency:
-don't miss a workout for 2 years
-write every week
-daily silence
Intensity makes a good story. Consistency makes progress.

Many say baseball is a game of failure b/c even the best batters fail 2 out of 3 times. But it’s really a game of opportunity. Every at bat is an opportunity to make the next one great. Same with life. No matter what happened yesterday you have an opportunity to make today great.
