“In 1980 losses from three US natural disasters—a drought, a flood and a hurricane—topped $1 billion each (in 2023 dollars). Last year there were 18 $1 billion-plus events, including Hurricane Ian, which was responsible for $114 billion in damage.” bloomberg.com/graphics/2023-…

Officer Kyle Davis from Indiana is under arrest for trying to film a young teen girl at his home while she was in the restroom.
After being busted Kyle tried to blame the recording on his son.
The victim got the courage to come forward after attending a sex ed class at school, where they spoke about different types of abuse.
This is why creeps don't want children learning these things in class.

There’s a single statistic everyone in the world should know this summer: fossil fuel subsidies are ten times greater than climate finance.

If you’re ok with women getting breast enhancements, butt injections and nose jobs, but you’re against transgender people getting gender affirming surgeries…
You might be a hypocrite who likes to control other people.

The Republican Party doesn’t support our troops, law enforcement, FBI, DOJ, or the rule of law. It’s always 'Back The Blue' unless they’re trying protect our Capitol, holding Trump accountable for his many crimes, or trying to stop a violent mob from hanging Mike Pence.

You're reading that right. 23 Republicans ran unopposed for Congress and another 126 had opponents who were only able to raise an average of $71K. Fully a third of Americans didn't have a competitive election for Congress. Join our community. Find out how to help. Fund races.

Never forget this: The GOP’s manufactured crises are meant to distract you from obscene wealth consolidation, climate annihilation, and the subversion of our democracy.

The human body cannot tolerate more than a few minutes at 126 F.
Longer exposure to temps >104 degrees F (40 C) are considered life-threatening.
If air around the body core rises past 40°C organs start shutting down & cells deteriorate. An overtaxed heart can go into cardiac arrest: heat stroke.
Victims may start to hallucinate, or to have seizures. Many will stop sweating entirely and exhibit hot dry skin instead. Internally, inflammation ensues, putting pressure on the kidneys. When the kidneys are stressed, all the toxins that have built up cannot be excreted and other organs -- now poisoned -- begin to fail one by one.

Tomorrow, President Biden is giving a big speech on extreme heat and the climate crisis.
It's the perfect opportunity to declare a climate emergency and use the full power of the presidency to implement the IRA and drive forward clean energy.

There's a growing fear that some tipping point has been reached. Not only is the North Atlantic water temperature 4 standard deviations above the 1991-2020 mean, but the Antarctic sea ice coverage is 6.4 standard deviations below the 1991-2020 mean. A bona fide #ClimateEmergency.

The fossil fuel industry has spent billions convincing people that climate change is a myth.
People come up to me and say climate change is a left wing conspiracy and a money grab.
Who has more to gain or lose if we shift towards renewables? Follow the money!
