#Poland: 24-year-old gunman, Michał Oksiński, who killed 6 in #Kraków believed to have been inspired by far-right ideology, according to Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński - On the afternoon of 7 November 2026 a lone 24-year-old Polish citizen (born 2002) identified in media reports as Michał Oksiński from the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski area drove a car onto Kraków’s Main Market Square onto the square around 15:00 and opened fire indiscriminately on random people from a moving car. - 6 people were killed, 4 women and 2 men, including one foreigner, and some 15 were injured, including two police officers. - The police officer that stopped the gunmen received three gunshot wounds and is in critical condition, undergoing surgery. - Oksiński was wearing military-style clothing and a helmet/balaclava. - The spokesperson for the National Police Headquarters confirmed that the attacker had a gun permit and was shooting an AR-15 rifle. - Additional weapons and ammunition were found in his Subaru. - Police shot and detained him during the pursuit near the intersection of Dietla and Stradomska streets; he was hospitalized.
