Simple. Get Tony Stark. Stark puts in a call to Bruce Wayne. "Your friend has gone evil again." They negotiate a deal for some of Bruce's stash of Kryptonite. Bring in the rest of the free tier to keep Superman on his toes. They brawl, they beat him, I spend the $10 on shawarma.
You have $10 to beat Superman Who you choosing?

I need you all to know, there have been flying cars since 1917 - and plenty of models since. The reason they've never "taken off" (pun intended) is because they're impractical, expensive, and serve no real purpose beyond, "Look! Flying car!" As this video clearly demonstrates.

I'm currently reading a book, not Victorian, but on the older side, with a lot of flowery prose. Every page has at least one word I have to look up. And you know what? It's fucking glorious. The book is fantastic, and now I have a whole list of cool new words to use.
I just saw this in the kindle store and now you all have to suffer along with me

*Groucho Marx voice* "Why, a child of five would know how to read this! Go fetch me a child of five, I can't make head or tail out of it."
Now they’re trying to tell you that a child of five shouldn’t know how to read. I predicted this last week and they’re already saying it. They don’t want your kids to be literate.

A few years ago, I got my friends to do Gender Bender Karaoke for my birthday. I sang Let It Go and Set Fire to the Rain, and it was glorious. The karaoke bar had no idea what was going on - it was just something I made my friends do. Would love to do it again sometime...

When I first watched Severence S1E5, the one after Helly tries to hang herself, there was a glitch, and my TV played sound, but no picture. It worked really well. You hear the frantic sounds, footsteps, voices, etc. over a black screen. I actually like the glitch version better.
Does anyone have any more examples

I was a teenager in the 90s who listened pretty much exclusively to music from the 60s. I was, admittedly, a bit of an outlier, but talking now to others my age who grew up in this area, they all know the local oldies station and listened to it at least sometimes.

I know this is a joke, but do you know why Big Bird and Oscar are played by the same actor? Jim Henson knew Caroll Spinney would basically be giving his entire career to Sesame Street and wanted him to have an outlet for the emotions that weren't Big Bird's sweetness naïveté.
oscar does nothing but degrade the social fabric of sesame street. why do the other muppets not simply exile or kill him

That's what Oscar brings to Sesame Street: the assurance that anger and annoyance and irritation and grouchiness are valid emotions that we all experience, and that we're still loved and accepted, even when we don't feel happy or social. Now scram.

In the wake of Columbine, a couple of idiots at my high school (one of whom I was friends with) were arrested for a prank where they pretended to be a Trenchcoat Mafia type gang and made "joke" plans to blow up the school.
What was “the incident” at your high school?

Interestingly, the same week that happened, the school had to be locked down for an unrelated incident involving an escaped convict in the area. A friend said to me that Friday, "I saw your school on the news this week!" and I had to ask, "Which time?"

Are these the same orgs that are paying people to protest Trump? And how do I get in touch with them? I've been protesting Trump AND posting anti-AI content for free, like a sucker.
Making anti AI content on YouTube is not only profitable bc you’ll get a zillion views on any anti AI slop, but also bc there are a litany of these sorts of “AI safety” orgs that will quietly pay you massive amounts of $$ for undisclosed propaganda

Is the issue with the fact that they did a puppet episode at all, or is the issue with the episode's execution? I love the idea of a puppet Star Trek episode but had some issues with how it was done. Generally I enjoyed it, though.
Star Trek writer Keith DeCandidio mocks fans for being concerned about Star Trek becoming ridiculous with puppets: "I must confess to amusement—or is it bemusement?—at all the online fulminating about doing a puppet/Muppet episode, as if that soils the purity of Star Trek. The same Star Trek that has (checks notes) the captain riding the first officer like a horse, the Enterprise encountering Abraham Lincoln floating in space and a giant space amoeba and a doomsday machine that looks like a cornucopia that lost a bar fight, the captain having hundreds of tribbles dumped on his head, the ship’s doctor having green smoke sex with a candle, the Enterprise visiting the Nazi planet and the Roman Empire planet and the Greek god planet and the gangster planet and the Aryan sex addict planet, Voyager creating a warp drive that turns you into a horny salamander, the captain’s dog peeing on a planet thus contaminating its biosphere, the crew playing a game that is like Jenga but without the deep intellectualism, the crew being 'de-evolved' (more than once!), the security chief being killed by a sadistic oil slick, the Enterprise ferrying fish people and space hippies, etc." Despite Star Trek having a lot of quirky episodes, didn't it at least try to take itself seriously before?

You're right, I don't have to look down on people who use AI... But I fucking do.
"I don’t use AI " Okay, you dont have to look down on people who use AI for their questions or doubts. Not everyone is a genius like y'll <3 Stop forcing your own baseless opinions onto others.

Try being in the middle of a mundane task you do all the time, only for someone to interrupt you to say, "That's so weird, why do you do it like that?" and make you feel like the way you brush your teeth or butter bread is inferior to the way others do it and deserves criticism.

Years ago, the local oldies station had a Beatles Request Program on Friday nights. I called in to request I Am the Walrus. The DJ said, "You've just admitted to our radio audience that you're a walrus!" He didn't play the song.
when i was a kid i used to call the radio station and request songs. Did anyone else ever do that ?

Totally happy for all the people that this works for, but looking at it straight up gives me anxiety. I kind of feel like it's more confusing than a regular written recipe. For me, anyway. Also, sometimes more written instructions are necessary. Mix how long? What consistency?
i can’t believe someone solved recipe design decades ago and everyone just decided to ignore it
