happy Monday to all devs celebrating!
π¨ Brotli2Shell goes beyond HTTP2Shell.
CVE-2026-111497 is a CVSS 9.2 out-of-bounds write in Googleβs Brotli decoder that has been exploited for RCE and impacts far beyond HTTP.
JFrog reproduced RIP control in FFmpeg via a crafted JPEG XL file and identified additional attack paths in ClickHouse, .NET, and Apache Arrow, where some fixes were still unavailable at the time of writing.
Weβve also released an open-source scanner to uncover potential exposure beyond vulnerable package versions.
Full research and technical details in our blog π
it would be a strategic blunder if the first model OpenAI launches now is Terra
they need a model to compete with Opus 5.5, not one with mid intelligence and a tainted name
GPT-6.1 Terra is now showing up in more places
Earlier this week I posted that Microsoft were testing it, and this is from a Github employee configuring GPT-6.1 Terra in Github Copilot now
This is specifically being tested as a "cheaper alternative to GPT-6.1 Sol", so it should have a very decent price cut compared to GPT-5.6 Terra

Claude can no longer βReverse Engineer Anything.β
Anthropic just quietly killed REA.
But Interesting timing.
After a few viral cases of people using Claude to reverse-engineer Samsung TV firmware and identify data-collection services, Anthropic appears to have restricted those reverse-engineering abilities.
the problem is that at the same time Anthropic restricted access to a select view and their models couldnβt be used for hardening most software

this is advanced shitposting
despite the unfortunate timing, we take disclosures seriously at @typesafeai
at approximately 6:49PM this Friday evening, we became aware of a massive unauthorized leak of ALL customer noul outputs
in effort to maximize transparency, here is the link: gist.github.com/diogo149/810β¦
itβs probably a good time to start using your Claude or Codex to harden all connected devices in your home
