It is 2028. Your neighbor posts a joke about the mayor. No knock on the door. No police. No court. An AI reads it in a fraction of a second. It matches the post to his digital ID. It flags the post as harmful. Before he finishes his coffee, his bank account shows a fine. Deducted automatically. His wallet is restricted for 30 days. No one reviewed it. No one can reverse it. Nobody is even sure who built the rule. And it did not happen to just him. It happened to 2 million people that morning. This is what happens when online digital ID, AI, and CBDCs come together. Enforcement with no officers, no cost, and no limit. UK arrests are the test run. The US is next. Share this with someone who thinks it cannot happen here. Follow me. Every day I show you what is coming and how to stop it.

Preach louder so the fools hear it more clearly
One hill I'll happily die on: the normalization of "ship fast" culture at the expense of proper SDLC has played a significant role in the quality of vulnerable code being pushed into production and the rise of CVEs and enshitification of software for the last several years. We've systematically traded engineering rigor for velocity, security assurance for investor confidence, and long-term maintainability for quarterly growth. All things I wish we would second guess and reevaluate. But the software overlords wanted products yesterday and they got them. And now the rest of us get to spend the next several years discovering exactly which corners were cut and figuring out how to deal with the immense amount of responsibility that's been dropped on our collective feet.

This is why I went GrapheneOS when I did. Besides the targeted ads I would get through my Samsung phone I was seeing the trend of phone makers and governments pushing for clientside scanning into phones and increasing levels of telemetry. The fact your phone can decide your now allowed to see your partner in an intimate manner cause its doing clientside scanning of your private conversations should concern EVERYONE. This same tech system is used in China to surveill citizens to catch them discussing the government in negative manners, to catch them sharing or videoing protest symbols/images, etc. These companies will claim its protect people but in reality is to surveillance, censor and eventually control them. 💀

Starmer was dangerous on fundamental liberties because he could recite the precise sections of legislation, which when deployed to their "full force", can suppress them entirely. Burnham is dangerous because he does not, but intends to continue with that programme whilst roleplaying as the 6th member of Oasis. Until the legislative tools of British censorship are repealed, censorship will continue. That situation will persist under a Conservative, Reform, Green or Restore government who do not enact a Freedom of Speech Bill containing the necessary repeals, and ideally, a positive right to contend with regulators and employers. Here is one @prestonjbyrne, @legalstyleblog & I made earlier: adamsmith.org/research/the-f…
Today marks 100 days since Andy Burnham became Prime Minister. Keir Starmer led the most hostile government towards free speech in modern British history. Andy Burnham’s first 100 days suggest he could be even worse. Different Prime Minister. Same hostility towards our fundamental right to free speech.

The Wayback Machine risks becoming collateral damage in the fight against AI, writes Internet Archive founder Brewster Kahle in The Atlantic. Blocking the Internet Archive won’t stop AI companies from scraping the web. To: @Support @Safety @singhai @benjitaylor Please Assist. FYI: @dexscreener @base The base:0x37696cd8f723ce541ac376f79fc109080e505ba3 Cashtag on X points to a token that is not QRL. The Quantum Resistant Ledger is an independent, post-quantum secure Layer-1 blockchain, live since 2018. QRL is not a token on Base, Ethereum, Solana, or any other chain. Right now, tapping the QRL Cashtag on X shows the chart for an unaffiliated Base ERC-20, created April 3, 2026, that copies our name and ticker: 0x37696cd8f723ce541ac376f79fc109080e505ba3 This token has no connection to QRL. It already has 92 holders and roughly $6,000 in buyer ETH in its trading pool, people who may believe they bought QRL. Please don't buy it, and don't rely on the QRL Cashtag for price info until this is fixed. What we've done so far: - Reported to X Support on Oct 6, followed up Oct 15 - Contacted the Cashtag data partners - Posted a public warning on Oct 12 What we're asking X: Map the QRL Cashtag to the native QRL asset, or show it as ambiguous with no default contract Stop defaulting to any Base contract that uses our name. Dozens of clones exist, so removing one won't solve it. For those copied FYI: - Cashtag partners: Please help route this to the team that owns asset mapping - DEX Screener & Base: Please flag this contract as impersonating QRL We're glad to provide any verification needed. Proof of the real QRL in the reply below 👇 📢 QRL community, we need your help: 🔁 Repost this so it reaches the right people at X 💬 Reply below if the QRL Cashtag has misled you or someone you know 🚩 Report the token anywhere you see it promoted as QRL The more visibility this gets, the faster it gets fixed. Thank you.

Final OCC approval for Ripple National Trust Bank is the result of a simple choice we made years ago: build within the regulatory perimeter, not around it. Clear rules + rigorous oversight create trust. And trust is what allows new financial infrastructure to scale.
Big news heading into @RippleSwell: the @USOCC has granted final approval for Ripple National Trust Bank. This gives Ripple a federally supervised platform to support $RLUSD and provide digital asset custody to enterprises. We’ve always said crypto and banks work better together — this is what that looks like. Real innovation, real accountability, federal oversight. The revolution isn't happening outside the system. It's happening from within it.

2nd Amendment defense of open-source let's go
We believe access to capable open-source cyber models is our constitutional right as Americans under the 2nd Amendment. It is our duty as technologists and patriots to help protect the digital infrastructure that powers the world's largest economy. As such, we’re serving our cyber models “at-cost”, in US data centers only, with ZDR enabled by default. We do not plan to make money serving these models. If you run a company that is considering how to best protect against cybercrime, reach out to me or @atbeme. We’d be happy to advise. KYC required. Apply below.

How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer? Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours. So, we got your favorite meme legends back together to say it louder: What happened to the internet? 1/3

The "loophole" talking point doesn't survive contact with the facts. A national trust charter means OCC exams, capital rules, and federal oversight. That's what accountability looks like. Great piece from our member @nathanmccauley in @AmerBanker 👇 americanbanker.com/opinion/a…

100% Also, this should be normalized so people aren’t pressured to cover up mistakes. Not one person will go through their career (or life) without making mistakes. It’s more about how you handle them.
I have massive respect for anyone that says: I did this, it looked one way, one later view it was different/I was wrong/we got better intel etc. like 10000000% it shows massive integrity of the person who can say: we made a mistake/I made a mistake etc. etc. I fuckup things, I get stuff wrong, I make mistakes. literally hacking is making mistakes until something works! (ok an oversimplification but...)

Their profitability DEPENDS ON us using their models for cybersecurity. But you don’t need overpriced frontier models. This is why they try to ban Chinese models. They want to lock you in and have no alternative.

2025 job growth was revised from 1.2 million to 116,000. A 90% haircut. 2024 got cut 44% too. I said on Sunday that hiring is what's stalling. Turns out it stalled a lot earlier than anyone reported. And this is us payroll- this is why I don’t trust the numbers that come out. I’m already seeing the real deal quarters before the revisions. Data is beautiful. 2026…. well I think we all know how this is going.
The ‘headline’ numbers don’t tell the full story. The info I hear from the executives I work with. I hear the true insights- h*ll, I help them figure out what to do next career wise and sometimes just advise on the company growth... So I know what is really happening, and these numbers- DAMN. When you look at the composition of job gains—what industries are they in? How many are temporary or part-time roles? Are we seeing growth in strategic positions that indicate long-term stability, or just seasonal hiring to bolster short-term metrics? This is where executives need to pay attention. This is what I help executives with. Growth on paper doesn’t always translate to a stronger bottom line. I’d argue it’s not just about employment numbers but about the quality of those roles. If the job market shifts too much towards low-skill positions, it can signal underlying issues in economic health and corporate investment trends. #leadership #consulting #jobsreport #labormarket #Employment
