Normally I post about blockchain things, but I've been having fun on the side getting back into embedded programming (but with Rust instead of C) So here's my mini-project from yesterday. Basically, I wanted to mess around with some external flash, but didn't want to wait for it to be delivered so I built a simulated API. I based it on the W25Qxx flash. Flash itself has an interesting way to read / write (bounded by the physics of floating gate transistors). The memory available in flash's default / erased state starts at all 1s (0xFF). And you can only go from a 1 to a 0, but not a 0 to 1. Meaning that in order to write data properly, you have to make sure to erase the relevant section to reset it to all 1s. You can write individual bytes within a range (page) of 256 bytes. But you can't update the written bytes unless you do an erase. To erase, the minimum you can do is an entire 4kb sector (16 of your 256 byte pages). I'll order a real W25Qxx soon and wire it up to my STM32. I'll put a link to the Rust sim in the comments.

Literally crazy how replaceable the tax filers are. I’ve got a couple K-1s so I usually let my business accountant do my personal taxes. Felt like that was too expensive so went with H&R Block this year. Just sat there for 30 minutes and watched a guy copy numbers and addresses from one screen into another screen. That’s it. He ended up making a mistake that I caught that would’ve made me pay an extra $700 in taxes. Then they charge $500 for that. We could just plug this into @gor0gue’s VeraZero platform for private AI tax processing. Wouldn’t even be that hard. Probably how I’ll do it next year.
I've been working on tax software for the past 5 years. This is the last year anyone will have to pay for TurboTax. You can try it yourself today: - add the Aiwyn Tax connector inside of Claude (link below) - give it access to your tax documents (W-2s, etc.) - ask Claude to prepare your tax return ...and that's it!

First discovery call is the hardest, but after that first one you get so much good info to instantly drive the team with better alignment and direction. Makes the next ones easier too.
How to beat a bigger competitor: Talk to customers more than they do. He who is closest to the customer wins.

The advice on MVPs was "if you aren't embarrassed at launch you took to long". With AI, this will change and MVPs should be delivered in higher quality

.@ProtonMail any tips for getting something like calendly with our proton mail / calendar? Not having this has been the biggest friction point for running our business with Proton.

After spending a week in @EthereumDenver, I've got a curiosity. We're running a poll inside R0GUE, but let's see what the public thinks too. How often do you use blockchain technology (as a user, not for development purposes):
0%Regularly (routine)
0%Occasionally (when needed
100%Rarely (in specific cases
0%Never used it

If you do use blockchain tech regularly, what are you doing?

Starting off @EthereumDenver at BASS Denver. First thing I’ve noticed comparing this event to past crypto conferences is that most conversations are about AI.

.@PrimordialAA, genuine question: think it makes sense to bring one of the oldest Rust smart contract languages that is compatible with RiscV to Zero?

The R0GUE team is thankful to have participated as mentors and judges at several WebZero's hackathons. Always amazed to see the talent they bring through the door
If you want to see change: break with conventions and iterate without fear! This experimentation would not have been possible without the support of great people from @Web3foundation @paritytech @Polkadot @kusamanetwork @arkivnetwork @hyperbridge @gor0gue @SuperteamDE @Starknet @rootstock_io and many more! And a big shoutout to the hundreds of bright minds giving it their all, hacking through the night and burning the candle at both ends. We do it all for you and your future success. If you win, we all win 💚

We've got an awesome team of engineers. Reach out if you know anyone who could use dev help with blockchains, AI, TEEs, devex, and beyond
We're launching the R0GUE Referral & Partners Program. You make an intro. We close the deal. You earn 5-10% of the contract value. No tiers. No hoops. Just upside. 🧵

Startups need extremely fast decision making. When you decentralize your decision making you move slow. It's one of the reasons so many Web3 companies fail. They cripple their decision making by decentralizing too early. You can't fly a plane if it's still on the runway.

AI is making the disparity between non-critical thinkers and critical thinkers much bigger. In other words, there are going to be a lot more dumb people.

We've spent the last year getting our hands dirty with AI: building agent workflows, prototyping systems that touch real organisational processes, and architecting TEE-backed infrastructure where blockchain attestations anchor trust. 🧵

long live ink! 😢 The best team I worked with at @paritytech Exceptional engineers, thoughtful humans, deeply committed to the ecosystem, the builders, and developer experience. Grateful for what I learned the @ink_lang team.
After months of sustained effort, we’re sharing difficult news: The Alliance is discontinuing ink! language development. This decision was not taken easily. 🧵👇

Crazy to think R0GUE has been in business for two years. 2024 was about survival, fighting to pay our salaries 2025 we grew to close to 7-figures, giving us a fleeting stability and time to set proper foundations and shake-loose our problems 2026 is set for acceleration
2025, the Year of the Snake, was a period of transformation, renewal, and reinvention. At R0GUE, we lived it fully. We shed our skin and evolved. 🧵
