A fast lab build is 40 hours of engineering time π
On September 29, our team show will what that job looks like when it takes one. Live, on real content, no slides. Β
We rebuilt lab authoring around closing that gap, and the only fair way to show it is to build one in front of you βοΈ

Great to see hubs.ly/Q04xRd5-0 using Instruqt to prove that on the show floor, one hands-on session at a time.

What's one thing about your onboarding or demo experience you'd fix if you had a month to do it?
AI changed how technical buyers evaluate software. The teams pulling ahead are letting them try it themselves.
We're getting into what's actually working at Hands-On, Sept 29 at 11:00 am ET.

Kilimanjaro is 19,341 ft. You don't summit it in one push β°οΈ
Arun Gupta climbed it in stages, acclimatizing along the way so his body could actually use the oxygen at altitude. Pacing so the whole group summited together, not just the fastest climber.
He came back with a phrase: cognitive altitude. It's what happens when you launch straight into all the technical detail at once, before checking whether the person across from you is still at basecamp.
His fix is a simple framework: listen, reflect, ask. Meet people where they are, then climb together. Because dumping your entire Kubernetes stack on someone in one breath isn't a pitch. It's altitude sickness.
What's your version of "listen, reflect, ask" when you're bringing someone technical up to speed?
Watch how he connects the two π

"yet_another_webinar.mp4". You know the file. A talking head, forty slides, and a chat window nobody's typing in.
That's why on September 29, we're doing something different: HANDS-ON, a working conference, not a webinar. At Instruqt, we've always believed in learning by doing.
No decks read at you for an hour. No "drop your questions in the chat" that go unanswered. Just people building, breaking, and pressure-testing real ideas, live, in real environments π

ποΈ Meet the next speakers for HANDS-ON: Dave Ahr from Coder and RaphaΓ«l Pinson from Isovalent, now part of Cisco.
One of them started building a hands-on program 90 days ago. The other started 5 years ago. We're putting them in the same conversation π
Dave's team just shipped its first hands-on workshops. An academy and certification are on the end-of-year roadmap.
RaphaΓ«l's team has been at it for 5 years. They've built 30 hands-on labs. Tens of thousands of plays. A badge economy keeps people coming back, and it even connects to a CNCF certification.
Same goal. Five years apart. In this conversation, they compare notes on:
β What to build first
β When rewards start paying off
β What breaks at scale
β What Dave should copy from RaphaΓ«l's playbook or deliberately do differently
You'll be able to ask them anything live. We're excited to hear it all!

A good demo used to be enough to move a deal forward. Now buyers say "cool" and want to see proof it'll actually work for them.
That's the topic of one of our upcoming Hands-On sessions: "Proof or It Didn't Happen: Selling When the Demo Is No Longer Enough."
Weβre bringing together Igor Racic from Infoblox, Keith Mansville from Google Cloud, Chris Clarkson from Illumio, and Adam Close from Octopus Deploy to compare notes on how theyβre handling this shift.
What are buyers asking for now? What do they need beyond the demo? And what have teams had to change along the way?
Thatβs the conversation we want to have π
Expect a practical discussion grounded in what these teams are seeing and doing right now.

π€ AI can tell you the steps to do something. It can't teach you what to do when things go wrong.
That's the gap most technical training misses. People read the docs, watch the demo, and still freeze the first time something breaks for real. No chatbot has an answer for "why is this broken on my machine, right now."
That confidence only comes one way: doing it yourself, hitting the errors, working through them.
That's the idea behind Hands-On, our upcoming virtual event. AI tells you. Hands-on teaches you π
We'll get into why real practice builds instincts that reading and watching can't, and how to build more of it into your team's ramp-up.
When you're onboarding a new engineer: docs and AI, or hands-on practice? What's worked for you?

Hot take: the challenge has moved. AI writes the code now. Pretty exciting, right? So here's the real question: who's actually using it?
βΉοΈ Fun fact: AI now writes almost half of all new code out there, up from almost none just a couple of years ago. That's huge. And it means the teams who get adoption right are the ones turning all that new code into real results.
That's the topic at Hands-On 2026: how AI is rewriting developer adoption. That gap, features shipping faster than anyone can adopt them, is where marketing, sales, DevRel, and customer success teams live right now.
That's why we call it Hands-On: no passive slides, just interactive experiences that show you how to drive real adoption. If that's your world, this event is built for you.
