A public survey carried out in 2023 by the UK government didn't show much support for wider use of imperial measurements.

I thought the British Lion Food Store might keep them but no.
You can get them on-line here:

You can make the socket as safe as you like but it won't stop idiots plugging unsafe appliances into them.
BTW, a UK bathroom can have a shaver socket with isolating transformer in Zone 2 and a 13A socket 3m distant from Zone 2 boundary.

No. Everything except a shaver socket has to be more than 3m away from the edge of Zone 2 and protected by a RCD.

Wiring regulations.
You can have a shaver socket that includes an isolating transformer in Zone 2. You can also have a 13A socket, so long as it's more than 3m distant from the boundary of Zone 2.
Most UK and Irish bathrooms aren't big enough for that.

If you insist you can have a 13A socket in the bathroom. It just has to be 3m or more away from Zone 2.
Inside Zone 2 you can have a shaver socket.

If a bathroom were that big you could have a 13A socket in the UK provided it were located at least 3m distant from the boundary of Zone 2.
Shavers and toothbrushes can run off a shaver socket which is permitted inside Zone 2.
