🤔 How do you build a city shaped by its people?
Imagine a city where decisions are made with communities, not just for them.
Introducing the Belfast Co-Design Framework—a tool to make collaboration real, practical, and impactful.
Here’s how it came to life.
🧵👇
It’s a tool for designing solutions that are inclusive, thoughtful, and effective.✅
Why does this matter?
This the first time something of this nature was commissioned by a local government in NI, and it represents how important it is that co-design is done well.
🧵👇
At Involve we believe that decisions should be informed by those whose lives they will affect.
It leads to better decisions and stronger trust between communities and decision makers.🗣️

📆 Last weekend, we wrapped up our place-based discussions for the Future of UK Treescapes project in Greater Manchester and Belfast. 🌳
Participants explored principles & prioritised actions for the future of trees in their communities.
Here’s what happened: 🧵👇
Paul Armstrong (@WoodlandTrust), a previous speaker, joined as an observer. 👀
In the afternoon, Orla Maguire from Belfast City Council provided practical examples to help participants understand how their proposals could be implemented & who would be responsible. 💡
🧵👇
🌿 What’s Next?
All local groups will come together in a final online session to create a UK-wide vision for treescapes. @UK_Treescapes🌍🌐
